some guy.. writing

Just earlier this week, I returned somebody's healthcard to their sister, and today I found somebody's housekey, which I'm getting back to them tomorrow evening.

Somebody dropped their health card on the sidewalk and I found it, so I did my best to find the owner and their sister texted me, asked if she could come pick it up, I say yeah, for sure, we work out a time that's fine for both of us

she took somebody with her to come get the card, which is fine and understandable, I'm a random guy she doesn't know

And then you realize "oh, huh, that shouldn't be a necessary thing just for her to feel safe"

lazy, demanding, tries to lecture you, horrible sense of humor, gets pissed over the smallest things, has their own little crew who they like to gossip with

one of my (now former) coworkers pulled a boss ass move where he quit on the spot, no two weeks, pretty much just wrote in the work group chat "hey I'm doing this for my mental health, these two's comments sealed the deal for me"

i read the text and like. the two he mentioned? Oh fucking yeah. The lazy, demanding, RACIST and gossipping co. It's extremely easy to see why anyone would want to get away from that, because they tend to pick on people, and especially the kitchen staff

and for some reason everyone is upset at the person for just quitting on the spot and name dropping those people? it shouldn't be that shocking.. everyone knows, and everyone hates them. i could easily see why someone would quit after being targeted by that crew

gah. idk. It's all so stupid - so they quit. There's nothing to be done about it. It doesn't matter if it was "unprofessional" or not when they're a grown adult who can probably find a good job in an understaffed kitchen anywhere they want, with the experience they have. Wish them well and fucking be done with it

i gave him a hearty "fuck trump, have a good day" cause according to my coworker the whole table was talking about how trump sucked the whole time

it was a great exchange

he laughed so hard when I told him like "let me tell you, if you didn't come back, this woulda been MINE" and he said "yeah, I thought so!"
