how long does it take to normally record an album? are you the type to write and record a hundred songs and then have to narrow it all down in the end? i don't really have any summer plans other thank working. maybe i'll go on some trip when my schedule frees up.

It really all depends on the breaks you take, the layering of vocals, mixing and getting the actual product you want. It can take a very long time, some take years and others can crank out albums in months. Yes, you should go on a trip because you deserve it.

sounds like your fans are going to be having a good time soon listening to the new music you're gonna be putting out. does that mean you're going to bring back the fully jean outfits? i think Britney Spears did it around that time period and it would be cool to see it happen again. summer plans for me are usually short. maybe some time spent at amusement parks and water parks with my daughter. other than that, not too sure what i'll have going on.

That's pretty perfect summer setup right there! I love that you're just letting things evolve without forcing timelines, that limbo can be so good for the soul. My summer's gonna be mostly a mix of work and trying to steal little pockets of downtime where I can, some travel if I'm lucky, and ideally a few properly lazy days. I don't know, I just really wanted to do something that felt a bit more stripped back and honest. Over the years, I've been lucky enough to do big shows with all the bells and whistles, but there's something really special about pulling everything back and just being in a room with people. I missed the connection you get when it's just you and the audience, like you can actually see people reacting in real time instead of it being this huge, distant thing. It felt important to me to create something more intimate again, almost like a conversation. You should definitely try doing it yourself, though! I'll even go watch a show.
