Exactly! That is the absolute worst thing you can ask someone because in that moment, the awkwardness sets in and is just not a good time. This way, you're in control and you have time to think about your answer and make that first impression - not that you need it because you're Demi Lovato but still, it neverhurts to ask the meaningful questions right away. Oh those are pretty closely matched to what I would have said so good call on changing the questions up, except I have cats and not dogs. Hmm, let me think - 1) that's hard to narrow down because I watch so many but they're not shows - I am a sucker for a cheesy Hallmark film so whenever I've had a bad day, I put one of them on with some popcorn and Cleo. 2) Definitely a texter, I'm far to busy to talk to someone directly. 3) Its raining and I'm at home, curled up with my cats and a good book or two

no one likes an awkward first impression so this is the perfect way to avoid that completely. plus you might be able to feel out the vibes enough and see if there might be any red flags right away. trust me, i definitely still need it sometimes. i can think of a few first meetings that i'd love to have a do over for. good taste then and promise i'm not one of those people who do the whole dogs verses cats thing. never judge anyone who has any kind of pets even if they aren't dogs. you completely exceeded expectations with those answers, especially with the hallmark response. aren't those just so bad that they're good? and nothing hits better than a new one around the holidays. texter here, too, so you're in good company. i can say besides the set ups in general you've completely nailed this first impression.

exactly! slumber party vibe was exactly what i was going for! that's the freaking one! like, i have a ton of guy friends and i never once have slept with any of them, or even really thought about it either. that's gross, they're more like brothers to me than anything else. seriously, that's what it feels like, like we're just supposed to trudge through life all on our own and have zero friends whatsoever. i mean, i'm all for the independent woman vibe but it's always nice to have someone to talk to when you're goin' through stuff. it was really nice to just have those moments of privacy while we could. but it has been nice to be able to be happy out in public together too. we can do a lot more things now like hold hands and go out to dinner. they always have something to say about relationships regardless, especially ones like ours that has been so back and forth. so i'm not super surprised y'know? we've been back together for a little over two months. it's definitely been a lot of questions about how long we think it's gonna last this time. but we just kinda try to laugh those off and just go on with the conversations and avoiding those questions altogether. it was pretty fun. oh, by all means, i'm sure the tour takes up so much of your time but i am so glad to know that you're havin' a good time on tour too! hey! always leave yourself open to findin' love again. it's out there for everyone. you just gotta be willin' to let it find yo sometimes instead of lookin' for it.

it's been way too long since i've had one of those and can't think of a more perfect way to change that. same here and it's ridiculous how that mindset is still a thing. the independence definitely is needed for certain things but at the end of the day, we still need our people and can't just be isolated. two months?? wow, i actually love that though. it means you got good time with just the two of you to explore things again. i'm really, really happy for you, kels. don't listen to a single thing anyone might say. just stay doing what makes you happy. i can't believe tour's over already. i might be crazy but slowly adding more shows in because i know i can't handle turning things off completely after that run. it's impossible. of course, i will. i promise that but you're right. sometimes it's better when it finds you. i'll keep an eye out either way and fill you in on all the updates if there are any.

I can't imagine how everything would feel after being on tour for a little bit - I'll never be a singer. Just a supporter. I think that I'm good at that. I'm glad that we've both got the offer. I'll have to talk with her about when we can come out to a show. Planning to go see one of Zayns, too. Maybe we can make a trip out to Texas, though. Haven't been there in forever.

please, as if the fan edits are doing all the work. they’re talented, obviously, but they can only enhance what is already very much there. and now knowing there’s even a small chance you might amp things up another level just because i said something? i’m taking full responsibility and also absolutely no responsibility at the same time. i can imagine how bittersweet that must feel, though. getting all of that love every night and then realizing you’re close to the end of it. it has to be such a strange mix of being exhausted, grateful, emotional, and not wanting to let go yet. but i hope you let yourself soak in every second of that last show. you deserve all of it.

you might be onto something with this because it's a lot better than just being asked outright to tell someone about yourself. always end up freezing and not remembering a single thing i've ever done in those moments. so here we go... 1. i usually sleep or catch up on shows. anything relaxing where i can just be alone and with my dogs is good. 2. either my mom or one of my best friends. 3. too many times to count. now i would hit you right back with the same questions but that seems a little cheap so how about - 1. what's your number 1 comfort show? 2. are you more of a caller or a texter? 3. what does the perfect day for you look like?

just need you to know that every single time i see clips from tour, i somehow end up reacting the exact same way like it’s the first time. there’s always a moment where i’m sitting there perfectly normal and then suddenly i’m saying “oh my god that’s so hot” out loud to absolutely nobody in my apartment. it’s honestly a little unfair how effortless you make performing look. the confidence, the vocals, the whole energy of it all? terrifying in the best possible way. i feel like people leave your shows needing both emotional recovery time and a glass of water. I have to give a huge shoutout to all those fan edits for making me look probably a hundred times better but thank you, especially for the ego boost. i’ll be taking that with me into the last show and maybe amping things up to another level just for you. with some of the signs and the fan experiences, i’m leaving the shows needing the same thing. but i’m just happy being back out there and getting so much love. it’s making it even harder knowing it’s almost the end.
