Tbh I hate the changes to Vincent so much! It made perfect sense he hated Hojo, that was the guy who stole his woman, experimented on her son, shot him when he objected and proceeded to experiment on him too and turn him into a (few) monster(s). It's understandable that Vincent has a huge grudge against such a creature. But against someone he never even got to know? He most likely never even got to see baby Seph, so where is all of this coming from? Some Lifestream shenanigans we haven't learned about yet? For one, I'm not fond of there being actual alternate realities, I still think they're just dreams, fantasies and what ifs, possibilities but not actual realities. And two, that's not the Vincent I knew and loved for so long, a man so guilt ridden for something he wasn't actually responsible for and couldn't stop, so distraught over what he'd been transformed into and suffering from such severe depression due to his perceived weakness and failure to save himself, the woman he loved and her son, that he basically committed suicide within what was possible to him. That Vincent stopped Sephiroth with a heavy heart, because he had to for the greater good, not because he had some beef with him!
