About Reborn, my most basic answer is that he's funny and cool and I love his hat.

To put a short answer on it, I think Reborn was exactly what Tsuna needed in-universe. Say what you want about his methods, it is the truth that, canon-wise, it kicked Tsuna out of his shell by forcing him into the deep end and making him swim. In real life, yes, definitely, Reborn's methods are fifty-two different levels of taking the wrong lesson from Whiplash.

Most of fandom see as Kyoya's dad is japanese and the head of Hibari, his mom/Fon's lil sis is chinese

As a personal head canon, I like to think that the Hibari themselves are a branched off clan from a main clan in the Triads and have a sort of distance but respectful relationship. So, they intermingle a lot and that means Fon’s lineage is little more blurred than usual, but for the ease of it, in his past life in like the wind, Fon was mostly Chinese (maternal grandparents were Chinese, paternal grandparents were Chinese and Japanese). His little sister wasn’t so much as his actual little sister as she is a sworn sister/close cousin from the Hibari side, and was in fact mostly Japanese and her husband was a Triad member that Fon managed to sway to his sister’s side and convinced them to hide Kyoya away for a while till he was older (yay for love!)

Nope! The man’s brilliant, sure, but he’s very adamant in sticking to his dojo and civilian life. After all the bullshit in his past life, I reckon a peaceful second life the least he can get. Will he help if his nephew comes calling? Sure, but it’s more of a, “Point me at your problems and I’ll ask no questions but you owe me and your mother dinner.” Very typical uncle things, you know?

And if it turns to being recruited (derogatory), then Ilpyo is the type of person to have no qualms in breaking off contact and fucking off to the mountains with the foxes. He’ll be the one to cut the string, but by trying to force him, Tsuna will have been the one to personally hand him the scissors.

Does that make sense?
