Hmmm...nervous protagonists who flaws is being a bit indecisiveness and lack of resolution. For Iruma its not having a goal for descions, Tsuna his indecisiveness and lack of resolution to fight had been called out many times by other characters as he needs to step up and be confident as the next boss of the Vongola Family. This is the reason why Reborn is usually harsh on him, forcing him to fight and try to control a situation by himself in order for him to learn how to lead a group. For Izu his at times can make him very timid, easily intimidated and quick to think of himself as unworthy. It's heavily implied that he may suffer from Imposter Syndrome, undoubtedly brought on by his terrible childhood, explaining his lack of confidence.

The youtube algorithm nudged me towards giving my tsuna hairband another try. While the original suggestion looked great in the video, it turned out quite meh when I gave it a go, but it still prompted me to resume my hunt for the perfect pattern. (And having the day off for a public holiday sure didn't hurt hehe)
After trying lots of bag handles patterns that didn't convince me either (also I would probably need to sew two of them together to fixate the twist? Ugh!), I finally stumbled upon brioche crochet. And it looks great! Although while I like the public / right / front side of the swatch in the tutorial better, I surprisingly prefer the supposedly private / wrong / back side of my own work - for the crisper lines
Also TIL that while I always hated working with slst, I just hadn't met the real final boss yet: blo yo slst into a row of slst - and this thing is FULL of it! ...now I really enjoy those easy peasy slst rows in between lmao
Sadly, as this is my first time venturing into brioche crochet, I'm not well versed enough to modify the pattern, so I can't add that nice thick center section :/
I like that Tsuna is not like other Shounen protagonists.
He doesn't accomplish his goal.
He doesn't choose a girl, or end up with her at the end.
He's accepting, but if it's someone he can't trust, he's wary.
He ends up surrounded by friends of all types, but he isn't really close with any of them.
He doesn't like his father.
Tsuna is so different from all shounen protagonists in this aspect, and I really like him because of all these. It makes Katekyo Hitman Reborn seem like not just a story or a famous popular anime to appeal to people...but like an actual story with its own character.
LIke, it makes it a unique story.
Like idk Naruto and Ichigo are like 'they're all my friends', 'I love everyone', the usual shounen protagonist stuff, but Tsuna is like 'Mukuro is scary! I don't trust him' like Tsuna doesn't trust people so blindly.
And his parents like other Shounen parents are involved in his growth but instead of being role models...they're kind of bad parents.
