Undiagnosed AuDHD unhinged and only has two friends (he has more friends by HS but he just makes no effort to talk to them. He has no concept of where he stands with people, so he assumes everyone hates him. Outside of Armin and Mikasa. Armin is his rock. He secretly cries himself to sleep some nights thinking one day Armin will outgrow him/move on. He doesn't know how devoted Armin is to him. He's not going anywhere.)
Cuts own hair. Thrifts and upcycles all of his clothes. Is very into tarot and does a daily reading for himself and Armin. Was homeschooled up until middle school.
Homeschooled from elementary to upper elementary. Met Armin in homeschool group (the homeschool kids get together a few times a month/go on field trips together)
Eren starts going to public school in the 7th grade. Armin convinces his grandfather to let him go too. The two of them meet Mikasa. She thinks they are weird home school freaks and takes them under her wing out of morbid curiosity and pledges to help reinvent them and make them cool like her.
Almost dropped out of HS cos of burnout (he didn't know it was burn out he just started going sicko mode and skipping school behaving irrationally. Mikasa skips some days to look after him after Armin broke his perfect attendance, and it triggered Eren to climb to the roof cos he felt bad making Armin ruin his perfect attendance just to be around his mopey ass.)
Eren hated school but enjoyed going for the sake of being around people his own age and having a rigid seldom changing schedule. Armin talks him out of doing impulsive shit Constantly. Armin was valedictorian (class of 06, go titans!) but his crowning achievement was getting Eren to walk across that stage with a 3.7 GPA.
After graduating high school, Eren follows Armin off to a local community college major undecided. Got addicted to Farmville.
Eren's seen Jean around prior to starting public school, and he picks on Eren and Armin when they bike around town or walk to the local convenient store. He officially meets him when joining the middle school by pranking him. Eren is naive and gullible and falls for his prank, thinking Jean wants to be his friend. Mikasa beats Jean up and gets suspended for a week, leaving Armin and Eren to fend for themselves. Armin manages to befriend Marco and Bertholdt and by doing so Armin gets Marco to get Jean to ease up. Anytime Marco is around Jean just glares, so Eren takes to remembering Jean's schedule so he can dodge him as best as he can.
By high school, their small friend groups blend into one big one.

Jean's (Jean's still a dick but Eren's less afraid of him. ) got a thing for Eren and why he acts like a fool.
Marco has a thing for Jean but only Armin knows.
Armin has a thing for Eren and Eren's too dumb to have noticed. Armin and Marco bond over their unrequited crushes.
Bert and Reiner get together in HS after pining for so long. Ymir and Historia are middle school sweethearts who met at summer camp and attached at the hip ever since.
Ymir is Marco's older sister by 2 years, failed 8th grade so they would only be one year apart and so she could stay with Historia.
Jean and Marco eventually get together with Armin's interference. Mission get Jean to stop liking Eren so I can have Eren. Mikasa picked up on it and was the second to realize Armin's feelings for Eren and helped but only because she thought Jean and Marco were a better fit, allegedly. They roped Eren into helping too but he had no idea about Jean nor Armin's feelings for him.
