Steve told Billy the party had convinced him to dress up with them this year, on the condition that he got to dress up as Han (he had to fight Lucas for that right, but Dustin was the tiebreaker and party rules demanded that they went with that).

Billy laughed forever, and jokingly asked who was dressing up as Leia (“Max better not be your Leia, Harrington. I swear to god…” “No, she’s going as Darth Vader. Why?”)

Billy stays oddly silent, mischief in his eyes, and refuses to give a straight answer for the next month as to what he’s dressing up as for Halloween.

He doesn’t go trick-or-treating with the party like he hinted he might (Steve managed to convince them pretty easily that they should do it even though they’re “old” for it now, because it’s fun and fuck the rules), and he shows up to the Halloween house party later after Steve’s been there half an hour.
