people keep saying this is bad but actually if you bothered to actually read the comic you’d know it takes place in an alternate universe where everyone shoves their pants into their asshole

A group of aggressive DickBabs shippers on TikTok has apparently decided they're going to try to "cancel" anyone who doesn't like their ship. One of the tactics they're using is creating fake accounts that pretend to be DickKory fans. Those accounts then shamelessly post ableist comments about Barbara Gordon and disabled people, along with other offensive or inflammatory content, to try to make the DickKory fandom look ableist and hateful.

There's a chance they could try pulling the same stunt here on Tumblr to spark another ship war between both sides.

If you come across an account claiming to be a DickKory fan that's posting intentionally ableist or outrageously offensive content, I'd ask everyone to be cautious before assuming it's legitimate. Don't be so quick to believe it. There's a chance it's a fake account created by DickBabs fans to spark drama and damage the DickKory fandom's reputation.

If you take a closer look, you'll see that the same accusers show up in both mybe24's and furious.lycky's cases.

Re-creating my first webcomic from 12 years ago, "Hair Expectations vs Reality."

I can't help but feel all kinds of emotions after re-visiting the original comic: the one that started it all. A lot has changed since then, and I feel so fortunate to still create art and tell stories for a living. Thanks for your support, and sticking around for so long ❤️

Personally, I’m a little surprised at how other writers seem to be disregarding what Dick’s going through in his solo series? He goes from pushing everyone and Babs away to calling her all of a sudden to vent? And that he shows up in Breakout out of nowhere smiling all happily. Obviously I’ll take any Dickbabs crumbs I can get (even if this specific one’s at the expense of his character) but it does ruin the continuity immersion quite a bit to see him going through it in his solo series to everything else 😭 It’s jarring but it’s also not the end of the world lol just curious

This is also an issue I have with this comic. I know it's a different audience and tone for the serie but a LOT of stuff changes between the two comics.

You can have Dick Grayson not being 100% angsty and in tone with your serie without making him almost the complete opposite.

It's acknowledged twice or thrice what's happening in Blud but his actions seems so different. Again it's probably because of the different tone but you can kinda arrange that.

For my sake, I'll take this and his appearance in Barbara Gordon as him simply trying to act as if he's okay with his friends. Cause he is a good actor, after all. And since he barely opens up to people about his problems... Yeah. I'll just imagine he's pretending.

And it is kinda weird that he's pushing away Babs and ignoring her calls in Nightwing (which is more in character for him in these situations) but leaving voicemails in Titans😅

Mhmm, how can I interpret that for my sake...

He's trying to push others away:

Lying to Bruce.

Ignoring Barbara.

...

And making subtle comments to Kory as a way to push her away.

Still, maybe he does want to kinda vent...? Just doesn't want to actually hear a reply that will be "it's not your fault". So he ignores Babs' calls, but at the same time leaves her voicemails.

I don't know, does that make sense? For his character especially.

In New Titans #36 he also admits to Kory that he needs his friends.

And yet he doesn't really talk with them about what's going on, and when he does he doesn't really listen to what they're telling him. Says he does, but doesn't, if Kory noticed I trust her judgement.

Also I was expecting him to talk about the kiss thing to Babs, since he would tell her, but well he barely did in the issue... He just say something happened but doesn't get into details.

I was talking about it with a friend and they said maybe he's keeping that for a face to face conversation.

Which actually, I really hope it'll happen.

Because it would be the freakin' FIRST time he opens up about a SA moment he went through with someone who's close to him (he did with Vigilante but y'know... Not exactly a friend, and not exactly a nice conversation either...).

Kinda wish it would have been about Tarantula, or Mirage, or Liu, y'know the worst ones... But they're probably too old to bring them up now...? So if it was something more recent it would make sense.
