Blizz is giving me bad vibes with the next patch for Zul'Jan. Coming here to humbly ask to see if you have any slooty headcanons for him and his darling?
I love how once we finished the first storyline introducing Zul'jan and Zul'jarra, I thought "Oh so he's going to parallel either Arthas or Illidan and because he's the most interesting character we've gotten from Blizzard in this expansion, they're going to kill him off after making him an antagonist". And I know it's not confirmed but...girl I will never give Blizzard writers the benefit of the doubt after BfA lol. Also I dislike the Haranir, their inclusion and implementation pisses me off almost as much as Elizabeth and the entirety of Bioshock Infinite
Anyway, YES I'd love to write more for Zul'jan!
Troll kingdoms and tribes all have varying courtship customs and rituals, but the Amani in particular use bird feathers, lynx fur and claws, and handmade paint and even glasswork in the gifts they give to mates. Zul'jan isn't the leader of the Amani so he doesn't have as much pressure to settle down with anyone like Zul'jara does, but as the other descendant of Zul'Jin he's still asked pretty often by elders in the village about it.
That said, if he found himself attracted to one of the Azerothian adventurers during Midnight, he's not gonna be happy at first (especially if they're not a Troll). I mean...yeah, they're technically involved with the Amani as Zul'jarra's Hash'ey, but he's never had much time or opportunities to see outsiders unless he was killing them. So suddenly finding one that makes him feel like this is weird to him.
He soon gets past that denial phase though and he's not one to quietly pine after someone for a long time. He's a troll of action and his impulsive rash decisions are one of his biggest flaws, so I can see him approaching Darling and outright saying that he wants them as more than an ally to the Amani. Maybe they're both by the fire near his hut, they're sharing some spirits and he finally just decides he can't stand it anymore; he finishes the rest of the cup, tosses it aside, and puts a hand on their neck to turn them closer to him and enjoy the taste of the alcohol on their tongue.
He prefers positions where he's in control and holding onto them, so he's fond of full nelsons, breeding presses, etc. Even if he's in a more conventional position like missionary, he's gonna have his hands gripping you so hard that you'll definitely have three-finger bruises. If you're riding him then he might let out a surprising little whine or two, but he's gonna make you forget about that by suddenly fucking you at a fast and hard pace so you don't tease him.
Once he finally lets out his feelings for Darling, they can expect to be fucked most nights. Trolls have very high physical stamina and Zul'jan is a younger, very pent-up and eager man. Amani and Trolls in general are also a very physically affectionate race with their loved ones, so from now on Darling's gonna be sitting in his lap at every function where the two of them are together.
He becomes very fond of 69ing as well once he tries it, and he also can't tell if he loves cumming inside Darling or all over them more. So it's usually a 50-50 as to where he finishes.
Will grope and hump them in his sleep, and he's told them that when he gets like that they're free to "lend a hand". If they try to move away though, he doesn't like it; though since he usually sleeps with one strong arm around them, they don't get far.
His dick is average by Troll standards: About 7.5 inches, wonderfully thick, a happy trail with hair slightly darker than what's on his head, and the tip is also a slightly darker green than his skin. He also cums quite a bit and it twitches pretty easily, so he easily winds up overstimming himself and Darling every time.
Less of a talker and more of a moaner. He isn't good at keeping quiet and doesn't want to be, but he also wishes he could stay focused long enough to tease or talk dirty to Darling. As it is he mainly just moans and says short little things like "That's it, right there..." "Can feel ya get tighter..." "Take it," etc
I imagine "butterfly form" Aizens trying to impress, amaze and woo Reader (and make them choose the best Aizen), like freaking "birds-of-paradise"
Eeeee I love this!!! Like he's obviously a narcissist so the only equal rival for Darling would be another him, so all the butterflaizens would be so eager to keep their attention lol
Zul'jan would legit be initially upset if he realized he felt some kinda way about a non-Amani, much less a non-troll. He'd be in denial at first and insist he's just admiring their strength or their intelligence in battle, but once he realizes it's more he's just like "...FUCK"
I think as it goes on he'd want to just get them out of his system, and figures that if he does that these feelings will go away. He doesn't want them as a mate or a partner or anything, he just has a...a craving. That's it. They're a curiosity. Their fingers are so much smaller than his, their body so much softer. They carry a different scent from the incense of Zul'Aman and the wilds.
He'd be more snappish than usual as he gets more and more frustrated, only for it to reach a point where he's touching himself every night to the thought of folding them in half, smirking as they try to take every inch of him in their mouth and remarking how green really looks good around their lips. If they catch on to how he feels and try to reciprocate or tease him, he's going to immediately pin them to the ground and tear at least one article of clothing on his way down.

I like when I get to play with the idea of a Darling that's got a bit more spine than the usual yandere object of affection

Tyrande in particular tries to convince Illidan to calm the hell down for five seconds, and she also tries to ensure a Huntress or two is keeping tabs on Darling. She knows Illidan is good at heart but his way of helping people he cares about us...I mean, come on, it's Illidan. Man's the king of doing THE ABSOLUTE MOST
She also feels for Darling since Illidan a few millennia ago was a much brasher asshole, and also warns Illidan that Darling better not be treated like a runner-up prize since he finally accepted Tyrande would never be with him. And she also tells him that Darling is under NO obligation to accept him now
And Illidan knows that, and he DOESN'T think Darling is a runner up, but perspective isn't his strong suit. He's gonna accept their rejection if they don't care about him now, but that means he's going to watch over them up close and from afar.

I was re reading one punch man recently and you know I really appreciate king as a character, to me his power is luck and I think the concept of the universe literally bending to fulfill his luck, is both funny and could have been a story in it's own right. And there aren't enough characters outside of cartoon logic that utilize this because even in marvel with characters who have luck based powers, they're still cool or athletic, but no an absolute loser who should not win any fight
Fr I like the idea of King being like Domino and accidentally manipulating the universe to make him lucky. He's like Kramer from Seinfeld who just winds up falling ass backwards into success lol

I have really been enjoying Veep and especially love how everyone else in this fandom wants to fuck Kent. Like Julia Louis Dreyfus is still the finest-as-fuck in any show she's in but I locked onto Kent like I was the Terminator
I haven't seen the leaked ATLA movie not because I'm against piracy (despite the fact that I have no way of seeing it legally since there's no theater release and Paramount+ is region locked where I live) but because
1. I don't have enough time to do much outside of work
2. I've lost a lot of interest in ATLA since Legend of Korra led to an explosion of my least favorite kind of fans (rabid shippers, of which there were already too many before LoK even aired lol)
3. The new art style pisses me off

Working through Outland quests for that covered Loremaster achievement and once again thinking thots about Blood Elves
Addiction is something they've had to ensure for so long and so intensely, and becoming more mortal over time has reminded them that even with their long lifespan compared to other races, it's still not long enough. So when they catch feelings it's difficult to keep it under wraps, especially when so many in their society are warlocks and/or deal with demons that feed on emotions
Aethas is thankful for his affinity for arcane magic and the fact he's in Dalaran, where those influences aren't as prevalent. He still loves his home though and likes showing his Darling around Silvermoon, but the warlocks specializing in Succubi and Incubi know exactly whenever he's back in the city because of the lust practically radiating off of his armor.
How many Illidari or followers of Kael'thas have given in to temptation, surrounded by demons who can peer into their souls and see exactly who they desire? Aethas has seen so many of his kin turn into Wretched or be consumed by Fel magic, and he knows deep down that it can happen to anyone. But he pushes it down, every day, until he can't take it anymore.
I think his breaking point would be after the Dalaran purge, seeing all of the terrified, injured, and dying Sin'dorei who he managed to safely being to Silvermoon. He's lost so much in the span of just a few hours, and he'd dragged Darling through that portal personally; Jaina could've imprisoned them to get to him, or worse. He can't let that happen. He won't.
He's constantly touching them more and more, always keeping an arm on them or taking them by the hand. They aren't allowed to leave the city gates without him or an arcane clone of him to escort them. And over time that insistence on hiding how much he needs them and wants them erodes until they're sleeping in his bed and he confesses that he's dreamed about seeing them like this dozens of times.
Just one embrace. That's all he needs. Just one kiss. Just one more. Another. A little lower. He's lost so much and can't bear losing them as well. Just stay with him.
