Caveat: this won’t have much of a personal impact unless Eris is

Prominent in your birth chart (closely in aspect to the Sun, the Moon, &/or an angle)

Making a major aspect (conjunction, sextile, square, trine, opposition) to the Sun, the Moon, &/or an angle

This is much more likely to make itself felt on a global scale. However, the only thing I’ve found with “angry woman Eris” energy in the news, lately, is that E. Jean Carroll finally has received $5 million of the $80+ million DonOLD Drumpf owes her. Transiting Eris is square DonOLD’s natal Venus/Cancer for the next several years….

It’s much more interesting (to me) to ponder Eris when she isn’t quite so pissed off. Astrologer Andre Kahr, on YouTube, has drawn on her basic mythology and spoken of Eris as looking to balance out our needs for knowledge (Pallas), power (Hera), and love (Aphrodite).

I’ve also seen Eris on lists of all the TNOs (Trans-Neptunian Objects) - specifically for a seminar (which I couldn’t afford) given by the London School of Astrology last June - where she is described as showing “diversity consciousness.” That tracks with a family member’s chart; they have their natal Eris exactly conjunct their Ascendant. (Although I also have to admit this person also puts themselves across as furious and bloodthirsty - and adamantly denies being either.)

Explanation: The Southern Crown (Corona Australis) dazzles with young and ancient celestial jewels. The Corona Australis Cloud is a collage of reflection and emission nebulae on the left of today’s image. At 430 light years away, this cloud is one of the closest star-forming regions to Earth. It contains gas cool enough (-260 Celsius or -440 Fahrenheit) to collapse into protostars. Recently formed stars paint blue hues across the cloud as their light reflects off surrounding material. The waltz of the R Coronae Australis binary system stirs up the nebula NGC 6729. The younger of the pair ionizes nearby gas with its ultraviolet light, causing it to glow. The Chandelier Cluster (NGC 6723) dangles from the top right, but is actually tens of thousands of light years farther away than its apparent star-forming neighbor. While NGC 6723 experienced multiple periods of star formation creating slightly younger stars, the chandelier twinkles with stars almost as old as the universe.

On June 20th Jupiter entered Leo for a 12-month tour of the sign of our heart and inner child. Jupiter always tries to "upgrade" your heart before it enters the sometimes harsh reality of Virgo.

But this Jupiter upgrade is including the outer planets of Uranus, Neptune (rx) and Pluto (rx); outer planets that are doing a spectacular cosmic dance, all of them at 4°.

Today Jupiter does more than join the dance, it "redefines" it as it chooses each planet as a separate and distinct dance partner. Jupiter sextiles Uranus, trines Neptune (rx), and opposes Pluto (rx).

I encourage you to see this dance as the opportunity to redefine "love." That's because many of you are feeling that love is impossible during these times. That people can't or won't receive it, or that many don't even deserve it.

But you're also discovering that love doesn't require you to hurt, be badgered, feel "less than," or to be disrespected and disvalued.

This week take advantage of the opportunity to redefine love. Not from the perspective that love is impossible, or that your opportunities to experience its fullness are diminishing, but that your love is GROWING. It isn't limited only to spouse, family and only the closest people in your life. But that you can extend love to the grocery store clerk, the commenter on your social media post, or the traveler in the seat next to you.
