mars on uranus in gemini, july 3. this is slightly ominous and can point to accidents and unexpected violence, but i hope it also shows people that the power lies with the masses and not the elite.

neptune rx in aries, july 7. neptune's retrogrades no longer take it back into pisces. this is all aries.as with the other outer planets, the broader retrograde periods are not super eventful, but the few days around the station can be full of illusions, deceit, and manipulation, so proceed cautiously.

uranus sextile neptune, july 15. the sextile has been noticeable for certain folks for ages already but is exact on the 15th. it is a union of two sorts of ethereal; the fog of shamanic trance + the sudden clarity of god downloading info into your brain directly. but this is one of those more-global-than-personal things; perhaps a new widespread spiritual movement or awakening, even if it goes without a name.

uranus trine pluto, july 17. like the above sextile, this has been ongoing and simply perfects at this time. but this is more of a tower (from tarot) sort of energy. institutions will for sure be crumbled around this time; hopefully the right ones, leaving whatever serves a good purpose steady on its foundation.

jupiter trine neptune and opposite pluto and sextile uranus, july 20. the outer planets move into an actually major alignment, all together, and involving less-geopolitical yet very benevolent jupiter. in spite of the way outer planets are frequently construed as malefics, this should be a harbinger of positive developments on the global front.

mercury direct in cancer, july 23. finally a likely chaotic mercury retrograde wraps up. the rest of july may feature some residual weirdness but at least it should start easing off and it will be more stable if you want to enact plans or sign forms etc.

neptune sextile pluto, july 23. this should be considered in connection to the other outer planet aspects aforementioned and it is long and ongoing, over months really. but it perfects on this day and may well correspond with some major world event. hopefully a good one, but i suspect it will be unclear to the average every day peasants what exactly it's about. even so, it brings about the end of an era and dawning of a new one.

honestly the only reason i don't have solar return charts listed is that i haven't had much particular demand for them!! i have had lots of people ask me for saturn return readings over the years though. it should be about the same amount of work as i would normally do for the saturn ones although i would be doing it probably in a different way; for me, the saturn return readings are mainly focused at the point of saturn +/- about 5 degrees and all the transits to that point in the period it takes for transiting saturn to move on from there. the solar return chart should really be the whole chart as an omen. although really this could be done either way.

so, yes, i would certainly consider it, i will put it on my list of things to eventually see about adding in there.

thank you! it is very much a mercury retrograde in taurus mind and it's *not* for everyone so i'm always glad there are people who appreciate it lol this is a GREAT question and there are lots of ways one might answer it. applies to late babies too - i was born later than expected and this had some impact on my initial thoughts about the practice of astrology when i was first learning it.

for me, if i had been born when i was "supposed to" be i would have been barely an aries instead of a taurus and as a kid/teenager i thought astrology was soooo stupid because clearly i am more of an aries than a taurus! in fact it turns out i am more of a taurus, lol. adolescents are all a bit aries vibes at that age, though, and i do have a rebellious streak and a flair for justice (they just come from other parts of my chart. i have no aries planets.) my current thinking on this issue has been my thinking ever since i got more serious about astrology (and all forms of philosophy, spirituality, and the occult tbh). and this is just my opinion, it may not be true facts! i think the time you are born IS the correct time. if you were born early or late you were actually supposed to be. things go how they are meant (destined?) to go. there's some reason for it even if we don't know it, even if we never find it.

so then where does the affinity come from? well for me like i said it was because i was a rebellious kid. for many it will be because there are still other planets, hypothetical points, prominent asteroids, or angles in the sign they "would have" been born under. no reason it has to be the sun. another factor is even if there are no *placements* there that sign is still a part of you - there's a house there, the sky was there. you have that signature in some way and maybe you are just particularly attached to it. so again using myself as an example aries is my 6th/7th house. my daily life and my relationships. and as a libra rising my whole life is relationships, right? so. makes sense i would feel that vibe in myself. another thing may be that you haven't grown into your sun sign yet. i wasn't very taurean until i got a bit older. in theory we should probably feel most like our moons as children and with time (not always at the same point in life) we start to fit the rest of our charts.

i have been thinking about the uranian connotations of revolution and its association with various (especially american but also other) wars. pluto is a part of this too because of its placement at the time of the american/french/haitian/etc revolutions

i DO believe we are in a (long) period of some type of revolution and it is in no small part to do with uranus and pluto. and there is, obviously, violence and bloodshed every day.

but i don't want people to lose track of the ancient traditional planets too. uranus is not a god of war. that's mars! and pluto is not a god of war either even if it is the so-called higher-octave of mars!

it is the *combination* of influences that makes events distinct from each other and what has happened before will not happen quite again, even if it rhymes.

uranus is like that because of when it was discovered (close to said revolutions) but it is also associated with non-war revolutions like the industrial revolution, revolution of thought, electricity, AI, etc.

these are written predominantly for the *rising* signs but they are also intuitively "channeled" enough that they should work for any dominant energy you have! (try your sun if you don't know rising, or more advanced readers can try moon, anywhere you have a stellium, etc and see what works best for you!)

aries: even with mercury retrograde (although do proceed with caution) it is a good week to get a roommate, move house, or just do some deep cleaning at home. but a freshening up of your physical abode is called for one way or another.

taurus: if you have siblings or cousins it can be good to reach out to them around the new moon later this week, or you may hear from them soon. this is likely to be a pleasant, even fortuitous encounter.

gemini: start planning your financial and material intentions today, and implement those plans with the new moon for fruitful results. things may not go as you expect, but at least you have opened the channels and will be able to see the road forward.

cancerians: this can be a great time to re-invent yourself or work on your self image. a new moon in your sign is a little bit like a personal new year and accordingly it can be wise to make personal resolutions.

leo: for most the biggest deal this week is the new moon, but for you, that may be difficult to feel and it is possible you will notice plutonic relationship shifts more. this can certainly be the end of an affair but it can also be favorable, due to a lot of support including jupiter in your sign.

virgo: new friends and acquaintances will turn out to have important purposes in your life, especially the ones you meet just after the new moon. these people are worth keeping in good graces.

libra: you have a real spotlight on you when it comes to your reputation and/or career. people are watching even if you don't see - not in a bad way, but always act in the knowledge that you are seen and don't behave in ways you would be embarrassed for others to know about.

scorpio: a conversation among many outer planets, a committee of sorts, affects you more than most. it is really meant on a global scale, but you're so in touch with the macrocosmic zeitgeist that it might as well be internal to you. mostly it is good news. but it is not small stuff.

sagittarius: your ruling planet is in a powerful position and expanding things and people into new frontiers. strangely, for you, getting out of the comfort zone is in a way your own comfort zone. this week shows where you would like to expand into.

capricorn: this week's new moon asks you to focus on your relationships (love or work or any other kind) and the way in which those interactions mirror your inner self. if you don't like what you're seeing projected onto the world, make the inner changes.

aquarius: uranian energy remains in the background but relinquishes center stage. a less detached and more emotional atmosphere pervades, which affords you a nice opportunity to focus on yourself if you have been neglecting to do so (as have many aquarians!)

pisces: meet someone new or start a new hobby, whatever seems fun to you this week. especially after the new moon, new fun things are blessed. drudgery and chores are less auspicious, although of course there are always things to do. just don't do a lot extra.

i did an old uranus and old neptune post so here's one on old pluto. but it's a little weird to describe the discovery of this one as old. we've known pluto for less than 100 years. of course, it always existed before that. now considered by astronomers to be a dwarf planet (and imo, rightfully so if ceres doesn't get full planet status!!! that's not even getting into eris!) modern astrologers nevertheless know the intense influence of this object, however you want to classify it.

clyde tombaugh discovered pluto before he even had a bachelor's degree after he had been invited to work at lowell observatory. percival lowell (and some others) had previously predicted the existence of a trans-neptunian planet X. tombaugh was searching for this when he found pluto. it was named a couple of months later by a young girl, venetia burney. other names were proposed before that but unlike in the case of uranus aka george, just mythological ones.
