the best advice i think i can give here is to look at the *whole* meaning of the placement. mine it for positives and inspiration.

in this case for example, chiron is the wound, but also the healing. i know some people because of the mythology say that you can never heal your own chiron wound, you can just help it in others, but i don't really buy into that and even if it's true, it is fulfilling in other ways to help others.

if you want more inspiration you can look up celebrities or famous people with the same placement or similar ones, and try to figure out what they're doing with the cards they were dealt.

but i am *firmly* a believer that *every* "difficult" placement (or transit!) has a plus side and you can always lean into that.

for another example i know a few first house saturn people. they often complain about how slow their lives seem to move, how hard they have to work. they forget that there are benefits to that, that haste makes waste and that hard work produces beautiful craftsmanship. also they always have perfect cheekbones.

i did an old uranus and old neptune post so here's one on old pluto. but it's a little weird to describe the discovery of this one as old. we've known pluto for less than 100 years. of course, it always existed before that. now considered by astronomers to be a dwarf planet (and imo, rightfully so if ceres doesn't get full planet status!!! that's not even getting into eris!) modern astrologers nevertheless know the intense influence of this object, however you want to classify it.

clyde tombaugh discovered pluto before he even had a bachelor's degree after he had been invited to work at lowell observatory. percival lowell (and some others) had previously predicted the existence of a trans-neptunian planet X. tombaugh was searching for this when he found pluto. it was named a couple of months later by a young girl, venetia burney. other names were proposed before that but unlike in the case of uranus aka george, just mythological ones.

these are written predominantly for the *rising* signs but they are also intuitively "channeled" enough that they should work for any dominant energy you have! (try your sun if you don't know rising, or more advanced readers can try moon, anywhere you have a stellium, etc and see what works best for you!)

aries: focusing on your daily routine (improving it, refining it, starting it over...) keeps your identity on track even if this week's astrology shakes up your self concept or confidence a bit.

taurus: venus into virgo is fertile, fun, and flirty for you so make the most of it! if you're not feeling sociable or romantic the fun can be at home in your pajamas making art or reading a book if you prefer. bonus points if you plant a flower.

gemini: for multiple reasons really, it's a good week for you to stay home and chill. if you need to be out and about you can of course do so. but making and maintaining a sanctuary for yourself is a top notch aim this week.

cancerians: a retrograde station of neptune occurs in your 10th house this week. of course, mercury is already retrograde in your sign. just remind yourself as much as needed that setbacks are not all they appear to be. sometimes they turn out to be shortcuts or gifts.

leo: you are in a very good position as far as resources go. these are likely material/financial but if that seems impossible in your current situation, consider all the natural talent, enthusiasm, time, energy, community support, will power, or whatever that you do have. place a high value on resources that are not strictly material and appreciate them.

virgo: venus arrives in your sign. don't listen to too much of the old-timey fuss that she is debilitated there. it's true she is not at her most comfortable in service; but it is also true that she blesses the grapes on their vines to be juicy and beautiful. sometimes the best acts of service are done even in discomfort.

libra: let your relationships become a background matter for the week and focus instead on your mental health and wellness as an individual. this is especially about your inner mental and emotional world, more than it is about physical health, although of course you can work on that too. one often supports the other.

scorpio: be among friends! but not at the expense of your small daily anchors that keep you happy and well. first anchor, then friends, then everything else can come later.

sagittarius: mutability intensifies. it's chaotic but at least it prevents you from being bored. a minor adventure lies around every corner and the way you handle these enhances your reputation.

capricorn: with mercury being retrograde i would still recommend caution in travel and related themes, but you can get away with more than some other signs currently especially when it comes to publishing and academics.

aquarius: your sign is known as a humanitarian and it's a good time for you to live in this role. volunteer work, charity, and mutual aid are particularly auspicious all week - and for a while yet after, too.

pisces: some people will make a lot of claims about venus in virgo but for you it is genuinely a great time for interpersonal relationships and especially romantic partnerships. the ingress occurs this week.

i have never heard of anyone making this connection but it just occurred to me and i think it should be explored a little more deeply!

have you ever noticed a connection between mercury transits and infectious illnesses or similar problems?

i will be watching this now because it occurred to me that since mercury has so much to do with exchange - often it gets credited as "communication" which it IS but it's also the flow of money, travel, etc and we do tend to acknowledge all that - why shouldn't it also have to do with exchange of germs or disease? full blown pestilence is definitely more of a saturn or pluto thing - covid became a problem in an intensely plutonic+saturnine time - but a personal planet for a personal illness, maybe? and i have had major personal pluto transits hit me hard with autoimmune problems but pluto transits don't seem to correspond with when i have had horrible colds, the flu, etc.

it also occurred to me that other things are transmitted that could be related to mercury but often aren't, like genetics for example. our dna is communicated to us from our ancestors. i'm sure the placements and transits matter for this stuff a lot but maybe you have a mercury transiting like a cancer lunar node or something and on the same day find out you have some genetic mutation that your grandparent had.
