trying to explain why i like horror to people who don’t: ok so you know how it’s fun to be deeply disturbed and unsettled

pride month is almost over I would just like to say happy pride to boring LGBTQ people in particular. everyone expects us to be brilliant creatives and scientists and interior decorators and quirky professors and tortured artists but some of us wear nothing but Kirkland Signature clothing and watch Friends and The Office and are incapable of having an interesting conversation and that is okay. our diversity is our strength.

a small thing i learned from my sister dying is that i really would rather the people i love be a burden than be whatever the hell else they'd be if they weren't. yes even if it's messy and not always fair and hard completely inconvenient for everyone involved. even if it's weird. even if i'm rolling my eyes a bit inside sometimes. i just want you to bother me. please always bother me

like "it's rotten work" "not to me not if it's you" actually sometimes it's still rotten work. even if it's you. and i'd still do it a million times over

the beauty of Polin really is that they're just two enormously dorky losers with social anxiety who were pretending their way through life whilst thinking the other was the best thing since sliced bread. then, after they reveal the full extent of their dweeb selves to each other they go 'oh no they're even better than I thought' and make out sloppy style about it. I love them. I miss them. They're perfect.
