people always wanna talk down on it but i fucking LOVE book!polin. i love that penelope's a spinster. i love that she's 28. i love that she's built a life for herself that she's proud of, but is also bored after a solid decade of doing the same thing. i love that he's 33 and aimless. i love that he's traveled everywhere but found what he was really looking for with the girl next door. i love that the would never court Penelope comment came after he was being ribbed by his brothers and she told him she never asked him to court her. i love how danbury said colin was penelope's colin bridgerton and she muttered that he wasn't even though he totally was. i love how they kind of just tumbled and freewheeled into each other. i love how she asked him for a kiss. i love how he got upset that she thanked him and it sat uncomfortably with him because he stopped seeing it as a favor as soon as he experienced it with her. i love how they made out in the carriage. i love how he proposed marriage and she straight up fell flat on her face. i love how he announced she was LW at the ball. i love I'll like it all because I'm with you and I love you for my past and for our future. i love how she retired of her own volition and went on to write novels. i love how colin is a chaotic little gremlin and penelope is a slightly less chaotic little gremlin. i love that she has felicity. i love that colin is disgusted at the idea that he'd be visiting featherington house to look at felicity's watercolors and that he pops off about how he's there for penelope and portia is slack mouthed like a fish. i love all of it. sue me.
