Let me just start off by saying I read Twilight and watched all the movies like 5 years ago (so a while). These are just the things that I remembered when I think back on it. I’m not saying this is how shit went down but this is how shit went down. So here we go.

Book 1

Mother sends her off to bum-fuck nowhere to go road tripping with her new boo

Meets up with her old childhood friend who has the saddest weave I’ve ever seen

Gets to new school and is immediately made fun of for being really white

All of these adopted siblings are apparently dating each other (still not sure how I feel about that)

Edward first really sees Bella in their science class. His reaction is “this bitch smells musty af I gotta get out of this class.” His actual reaction↓↓

We later find out that Edward just thinks she’s a snack (literally)

He then skips school to get as far away from her as possible

He then comes back to school and his attitude has done a full 180 so fast it gave every character/reader whiplash (now is hella friendly like he didn’t just try to transfer classes for the sole reason of getting away from her)

Not the last time he pulls that kind of fuckery

Edward saves Bella from dying only for him to then tell her to never speak to him again

Actually called himself a monster but Bella don’t care she wants that dick

Friends again????

Faints when she sees blood, the most ironic thing I’ve heard in a while 

To be nice she invites him to come to the beach with her and her friends except he can’t go because apparently, the werewolves are racists

Goes shopping with her friends in a city she’s never been to but wonders off anyway because she has to do research on her undead bf

Creepy dudes follow her

Is nearly raped/assaulted but is saved by her stalker not-yet-boyfriend who has no regard for the speed limit

Decides to go to dinner with the dude that followed her around the city instead of going home with her friends

He opens the conversation with I CAN READ MINDS

Not self absorbed at all ( notice the overflowing amounts of sarcasm )

She decides to confront Edward (who she is 100% positive is a bloodsucking vampire) alone in the woods 

Edward is a vampire vegan???

Dating now I guess??

Takes her on a long ass hike just to show her how he sparkles, because apparently, that’s a thing  

Literally tells her he wants to eat and not in the way a girl would prefer

Did I mention he also breaks into her room at night and watches her while she sleeps

Let me repeat that HE WATCHES HER WHILE SHE SLEEPS 

He even admits it↑↑

Then she decided ya know what let’s cuddle stalker boy

Invites her to meet the family

Is sniffed my his sister

Bad-weave-boy’s dad tries to warn her about the Cullen’s but lol what does he know

Edward takes Bella to his family’s game of vampire baseball

Other vampires show you and think Bella is a snac

Now has to make his girlfriend leave town because the new vampires want to chow down on Forks, Washington’s friendly neighborhood necrophiliac

Insists on leaving her dad the same way her Mom did because if she’s leaving might as well rip her father’s heart and soul out and step on it on the way out

Crazy non vegan vamps fake mother’s kidnapping to lure her out

Totally works

Gets her leg broken then has the amazing idea to make herself bleed the taunt the bloodsucking vampire

Gets bit. Go figure

Boyfriend sucks out venom to save her soul or some shit, nearly kills her

Goes from hospital to prom in like one chapter

Jacob delivers a vague somewhat threatening message from the not yet really revealed werewolves

Creepy weird neck kiss

And that’s only the first book

Since it’s pride month I thought I’d post this

If someone you know recently came out as trans and has asked you to refer to them by their preferred pronouns and/or name I have tip to help you more easily switch to using them

Sometimes it’s a little difficult to right away always get their pronouns and new name correct especially if you had know them for a while before they came out but it’s your job as a friend and ally to put in that effort to get it right

In middle school I had a friend who I had know for 4 or 5 years already come out as trans and let us know that she would like to be referred to by her new name and female pronouns

Since we had all know her for so long by her deadname (which I will won’t use out of respect) it was a little difficult at first to always get it right so we made sure we held each other and ourselves accountable

A trick that help me in particular since I have the brain of a 90 year old grandma that will go through all her kids names before she gets to right kid was

Whenever I would catch myself or be called on accidentally using the wrong name and/or pronouns I would out loud first apologize then correct myself even if she wasn’t present

Doing this will train your brain to associate them with their correct gender identity and then it will just come naturally without having to stop and think to make you are using the right pronouns and name

Also don’t be afraid to correct people if they get it wrong

The guards are spraying this disinfectant in retaliation for the report. To be clear - HDQ is an industrial-strength disinfectant, which according to the manufacturer is “harmful if inhaled” and “causes severe skin burns and serious eye damage.” The guards are spraying it on everything every 15-30 minutes, according to sources, and immigrants in the center have already experienced severe symptoms including blisters, rashes, bleeding, fainting, breathing difficulties, headaches, stomach pain, and nausea.

And let’s be real - ICE doesn’t give a shit, either about protecting these people or about preventing a COVID outbreak. ICE, according to their own reports, currently has 25,911 people in custody, of which only 2,670 have been tested. 1,392 of those were positive. In simple terms - less than 10% of detainees have been tested. Of those, more than half are positive. We cannot estimate how many sick people ICE is currently holding, or how many more will get sick without any kind of prevention or care.

ICE is killing people through neglect, and when they dared complain - they started gassing them.
