The cruelty of Bella's pregnancy isn't talked about enough really. There is of course the attention on the fact that her only ally in the pregnancy was the one vampire who was adamantly opposed to her being turned, as well as her life partner abandoning her for choosing the baby over her own well being are part of the narrative but she couldn't experience a single part of it with her mom. Her mom who experienced teen pregnancy herself, who married and ended up leaving the marriage young because she was unhappy. Bella was walking in her mother's shoes with scarier steps in her path and she couldn't even speak to the person she knew who had the slightest understanding of what it was like. And then, She literally died in childbirth. There was such a small chance of the venom reaching her in time and still, the cruelty of it even after the fact is so insane. There's just so much to it.

the reason I still don’t eat chicken wings at my big age is because when I was 7 I watched breaking dawn part 1 and saw the scene of Bella eating her undercooked chicken wings and to this day I’m traumatized/scared that every chicken wing I’ll eat is undercooked. Like pregnant or not she was still gonna throw up
