WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN SHIBUYA!?!?!?!

[Has difficulty making everyday decisions without excessive advice and reassurance from others.] I wouldn't say Uraume is explicitly shown to have difficulty with this (aside from an instance I'll elaborate on later), but it's something I headcanon based on their complete willingness to do everything Sukuna asks. In my experience, it is much better to have someone bossing you around like Sukuna does because then you don't have to struggle making your own choices.

[Needs others to assume responsibility for most major areas of their life.] See above rly? While Uraume definitely has responsibilities, this is not the same as being responsible for their own life– Sukuna is responsible for that, or at least, he is in their mind. Having responsibilities set by another person > Being responsible for your own shit.

[Has difficulty expressing disagreement with others because of fear of loss of support or approval. (Note: Do not include realistic fears of retribution.)] I do not think this is one that is seen either, especially with how often Uraume butts heads with Kenjaku (though I have reasons I think them doing this relates to their DPD). I also think this symptom cannot apply to their relationship with Sukuna because expressing disagreement towards Sukuna is a good way to get your shit rocked 💀💀

[Has difficulty initiating projects or doing things on their own (because of a lack of self-confidence in judgment or abilities rather than a lack of motivation or energy).] Uraume never does initiate things on their own, all their actions are based on what Sukuna has instructed them to do. I think it is arguable that Uraume at least lacked self-confidence upon their first meeting with Sukuna in the Heian Era, based on the way they react to him taking them in and telling them to sleep among his meats to ice them. (I will also elaborate on this symptom later.)

[Goes to excessive lengths to obtain nurturance and support from others, to the point of volunteering to do unpleasant things.] I feel this one is kind of a no-brainer? Uraume does a lot of arguably unpleasant things for Sukuna's sake even though there is no direct benefit to Uraume other than "this helps Sukuna whom I serve and depend on."

[Feels uncomfortable or helpless when alone because of exaggerated fears of being unable to care for oneself. ] I'll get to this.

[Urgently seeks another relationship as a source of care and support when a close relationship ends.] Uraume works extremely closely with Kenjaku despite greatly disliking her (I'm a she/her Kenjaku truther dw about it). While this isn't exactly seeking a relationship as a source of care, I would argue it is a form of seeking support due to symptoms 2 and 4. Working with Kenjaku makes the return of Sukuna possible, which gives Uraume a purpose– a duty to carry out that gives their life purpose.

[Is unrealistically preoccupied with fears of being left to care for himself or herself.] Getting to this.

In regards to symptoms 6 and 8:

The main reason I believe Uraume strongly despises and fears being alone without Sukuna is because of what they do as soon as Sukuna is defeated. They take their life. As soon as the person they rely on, the person they serve, is gone, they immediately have exactly zero desire to live. They hinge their existence entirely on Sukuna's. While they never express fear, it's implied they fear it by this response. It is dependence to its absolute extremity– they do not want to live without the person they depend on, and would literally rather die than be alone.

In regards to symptoms 1 and 4:

I think we can see the more anxious side of DPD in Uraume in their epilogue, in the way they tell him they're hungry as a request for food instead of assuming they were entitled to the food they were keeping fresh with their own technique. People with DPD (in my experience and based on others I've heard) often either avoid or ask "obvious" questions for some of the most 'simple' things, because the fear of upsetting someone (especially a DP), is that great.

Part of this is also the struggle to do things for ourselves– we struggle to do for ourselves because we struggle to think for ourselves. At least personally, I am always thinking for others, and I will actively inconvenience myself to do things in a way that is more convenient for other people. This is especially prevalent if there is the awareness a person would be upset if inconvenienced, and Sukuna makes it crystal clear he does not like to be inconvenienced.

Similarly, we require approval. Taking agency over our own lives and decisions is extremely difficult, and often someone's stamp of approval allows us to go ahead with a decision, and the lack of approval can make something so daunting that it never gets done. I personally consider Uraume asking first for something so simple as eating when there was so much meat in front of them as a demonstration of this.

I feel it's pretty obvious when I say Sukuna is Uraume's Dependent Person (DP). I think explaining why I think this would just be repeating what I have already said about them. Uraume has the kind of relationship with their DP which I as someone with DPD am lowkey jealous of 😭😭, that being servant and master. They have no need to express a fear of needing to take agency of their life because they serve Sukuna– they don't need to think of what to do, because he instructs them. I also think that, despite argumentativeness being generally uncharacteristic of someone with DPD, Uraume disliking Kenjaku makes sense because of this fact. It's clear Sukuna doesn't like Kenjaku either. They do not think she always acts in Sukuna's best interest. An enemy of their DP is an enemy of theirs, and this is why they argue with her and openly don't like her. I personally don't like anyone my DP doesn't like
