Cw: possession-ish, mentioned human experimentation and bioengineering (donβt quote me)
Kenjaku gracefully dropped into a cross-legged sit, robes falling dramatically about him as the other cursed spirits took off to find Yuuji. He had no concerns about the boy. Kenjaku crafted him himself to be Sukunaβs vessel; a few spirits would at most bring out his old friend. The idea they could kill Sukuna, weakened as he was, in the vessel Kenjaku made was laughable at best.
Kenjaku glanced at the still twitching hand and sighed. βItβs no use, Geto,β he said simply, βSatoru was you last hope, and even he couldnβt stand the sight of you.β
He smirked at the physical rejection of the statement, curiosity swelling at the sheer strength of soul left after all this time - if Mahitoβs theory applied, anyways. It was no matter. The death throws of a doomed child was nothing to a god among spirits. The hand reached feebly for the box, and Kenjaku quirked a brow before pulling it back by the shoulder.Β
Human bodies were so fascinatingly connected, a twitch of the right muscle here, a tweak of bone there and ramifications rippled out. Splice a gene from here to there, and you get near heavenly pact levels of enhancement offset by low cursed energy. Revulsion twisted the stomach in a way it hadnβt since the first couple weeks. Remarkable.
βYou donβt have a way to free him even if you could reach it,β Kenjaku reminded, βDonβt you remember the early days?β He chuckled dryly, βOnly a fool would take the gift of resurrection and try to throw it away for someone whoβs never cared in the same way.β
And just as it had done the few times he was near Satoru, the blow drove the remnants of Geto back into submission. Oblivious fools, both of them.
βItβs no use resisting,β Kenjaku tapped the prison realm now that Geto had receded. βItβll only prolong the intake. And I doubt you want to watch your students fall.β
