Dialogue has def improved
Katara recreates the og show intro
Offscreened Aang learning water but replaced it with him having to learn how to heal
Slight kataang moment? Katara still clueless rn
Lizzy yu as Azula is peak ngl
-I think they’re setting up Azula’s eventual emotional downfall better than the og. We actually see more from her pov with her relationship with ozai
They definitely had to remix these early storylines of s2. This eps alone was like half of the first 10eps of the og s2. This is more of an alternative retelling of atla than an adaptation. Can still be enjoyable tho. The remixed plotlines don’t feel forced like for example wan shi tong in s1
Effects look way better, real on set locations clear the volume cgi sets and it’s not close
Suki asks Katara to be apart of the kyoshi warriors and that along with katara seeing someone praying to her looks to be what inspires katara to become the painted lady we seen from the trailer
Pacing is very fast tho. it’s to be expected tho, with them having 7eps to work with and basically wanting to utilize the ba sing se set as fast and as much as possible
Overall I’m gonna be honest I’m very pleased so far. The big criticisms I had for s1 have definitely been improved, changes so far don’t feel like they serve purpose , dialogue has improved while there is some exposition that’s to be expected for an ep 1 and it’s not as crazy as it was in s1. I urge you if you’re coming into s2 onwards expecting a direct adaptation you’re just gonna be upset, this is more of a retelling/ alternate version. S1 I rated a 6.5/10. If this continues like how this first eps was and hit on the big finale I can easily see this season being as good as an 8.5/10

took some pictures of my plants today :)
looking at these I can't see a single plant that I actually spent money on lmao. most of them were either dug from gravel roads or literal cracks in the pavement, or came from seeds that i stuffed in my pockets
the rocks of the path were also free we got them from a road cut lol
the purple coneflowers are all the children of one purple coneflower that i dug up from a pavement crack next to the pollinator garden at work. i have around 10-15 of them that are blooming and most of the ones that bloomed last year made at least one baby next to them
the black raspberry (filling up top center of photo 9) came from the gravel outside farmer family friend's shed. It was like 2 inches tall, I saw it was a Rubus, I asked him if I could take it he said sure. I have 4 black raspberry bushes now, two I dug up from a powerline cut on some land that was for sale and one i got from the gravel driveway of some cabin somebody was building east of here.
I honestly don't remember the origins of most of them. Lots of roadsides and powerline cuts. A few things came in tracked on my boots or my clothes, and a few things were given to me by people in my native plant gardening network. Some of the sedges and rushes in my wetland come from a random field belonging to my college that they mostly ignore.
Pond horsey
Chip used to escape into the pine barrens and go in ponds to eat yellow pond lilies. This brings back memories.
Three artworks on the same theme, by Hiroo Isono, likely from the 70s or early 80s.
Thanks to @jca-archive for the third scan - the others are from this insta and this company.
“hbo sam” what is that. what do you mean hbo sam. he literally drank demon blood and had horny demon blood sex with his demon girlfriend on the television screen. you think he’s not hbo sam because he’s on the cw well that is your mistake. moving supernatural to hbo would only bring everyone else’s insanity up to sams level. show some respect
literally one of the first things he does is crash a car into a house on purpose. what the hell
this. dean makes bonkers choices and decisions but they are clearly because of the absolutely fucked up cocktail of neuroses that bangs about in his head and it makes you go Wow that guy has obviously seen some shit to think that’s a good idea. whereas sam is like so nonplussed and accepting of doing fucked up shit with barely any justification other than “yeah ok” that you go oh something is Wrong with him. he’s so awesome
do you have a favourite book that you love with all your heart but would never recommend to someone without knowing them super well because of the uh, content matter? mine is Throne of Bones by Brian McNaughton. and if you want to tell me yours…. I’m always looking for something to read 👀
Ooh I know!
You should read this awesome New Book called "Apparently Sir Cameron Needs to Die" by Greer Stothers
I don’t know man…. I’m into some sick stuff, but that’s pushing it even for me.

My dear friend, When I was 13 years old and in a dark place I wrote you a message that we'd now call trauma-dumping in which I told you I was feeling suicidal. Not only did you respond to me, but you were so kind and told me I was brave. More than a decade has passed since then. I left tumblr and came back, I got two degrees, I changed my name, and more. I recently remembered your tumblr and am so happy that you are still here, still making silly Sherlock drawings. I don't know what the last decade has been like for you. I hope it has shown you so much kindness like what you gave to me so many years ago. I hope that you show that level of kindness to yourself. Thank you for listening to a scared teenager. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I love you <3
Dear anon friend,
To be honest when I logged into tumblr this week again and read your message I cried a little because I had a really hard day at work and then your message was so nice, and then the next day I felt really good because I had your words with me, so thank you. Maybe fandom can seem silly to other people but isn't it great that we are still connected in some way after 10 years because of a BBC Sherlock adaptation and get each other through hard days? (´꒳`)♡
I am so happy to hear what your last decade has been like! Thank you genuinely so much for sharing!! I can't wait for the next one and all the great things you will do. You wrote that you were "trauma-dumping". I just want to say I'm really glad you reached out 10 years ago. You were a child and needed help, and you got that child help. I'm really proud you did and I hope you are as well. (´。• ᵕ •。`) ♡
And just like this it is may 31th again!! Where did the last year go? What happened to me wanting to post more comics?? Well, let's try again this year!! (°□°;)
I hope it was a good year for everyone. Sherlock will always be here. And John too! (*ˊᗜˋ*)
WHAT DO YOU MEAN JUNE STARTS IN 2 DAYS IT WAS DECEMBER 2 HOURS AGO
it’s so…… stupid that grey rocking, or making yourself as non-reactive and boring as possible, is in part the solution to domestic abuse, and stalking, and grizzly bear attacks, and online harassment, and enduring my fucking eight pound cat. because he wants fun things to happen, and it’s fun when I dash over and go “ohhhh noooo, nooo” and it’s even more fun when I pick things up, because then he can bat them down again. it is taking so much strength of will to ignore the loud and ominous thuds from the other room, but this is the only way. I can see him checking on me to make sure I heard. his pupils are so big and evil. Belphie, we can play fetch on the catio in 10 minutes, but right now I need to renew my government dental coverage.
Authors, agents, publishers: every part of the industry is seeing the strain of five years of escalating anti-LGBTQ censorship.
if you'd like to show support, here are some upcoming queer books:
When Life Gives You Corpses is a brilliant YA about a cursed praying mantis who falls for a young witch. Yield Under Great Persuasion is a raunchy, but surprisingly sweet story about two men repairing their relationship. Fabulous Bodies is a horror story about a queer rockstar rising from the dead.
This is Where the Future Bleeds is a fantasy set in a vividly imagined land, where two women (who happen to kiss) are the key to healing the broken sky. You're No Better is a story about a teen struggling in the shadow of his murderous parent. Oil on Canvas is about a woman who finds disturbing paintings in the home of her dead mother.
and then here's a list of 26 queer books by Black authors set to publish this year, and a 10 upcoming books by trans authors. if you want to fight back against queer censorship, use your wallet! or (if that's not an option) you can contact your local library and ask them to stock a copy.

I hate that when you’re stressed enough your body just starts falling apart. I think it should realize you’re already stressed and don’t need that and start functioning better actually
is germany okay
oh scheiße
This isn’t quite how I imagined the second coming of Christ.
What makes this funnier is that I’m pretty sure that’s at the station for cologne cathedral
It is and everytime I see that hole I think of this video
Remembered to check at the station today and report that
The structural stigmata are still there
Why are the 4 holes?? Maybe 5?
It’s his daily commute.
