Okey, Apo "blues bats" design idea let's go!
(yeah, I know the colors look more purple instead of bright blue, but dw, it was on purpose. I think Apos design should stand out.)
Sm applekiss on the sideđđ
previous post uhh
Sooo... Louis (and Lovebitten), but blue bats, anyone?đ
I just thought it could be fun to experiment and strip away that read-and-black color palette, change it to the opposite. Vsmp, but everyone wears blue has so much potential, guys.
(now I also wanna draw "blue bats" Apo)
genAI companies are now buying up rare and antique books so they can scan them and use them to train their AI. then they're destroying the books afterward.
AI companies are quietly obtaining rare books, ingesting their contents, and then destroying them -- even if they're exceedingly rare.
they've had to face settlements against stealing from current authors, so they'll just go for the old books now. they're also doing this so they have the only copies of rare books.
they're taking water, power, natural resources for their data centers. they steal. they're book burning, essentially. i'm just so angry, i'm at a loss right now.
Oh this is very bad. Oh this a disaster historical and civilizational in scale.
The Legend of Oakhurst site is now live!
Come check out the wonderful collaborative website we've created! So many artists, writers and other creators worked together to make this a reality! ^_^

i miss jack von pyroscythe. i will never stop mourning him i think
You know it's funny (not really) that in their pov end credits we got "no one will mourn him, he will have no grave" but genuenly there isn't a single day I'm not thinking about them.
I mean really, I was mourning him before he even died, the week between ep 7 and ep 8 I was so sad because I knew they were going to die and I obviously didn't want him to, so to cope I was like... thinking of the diferent possibilities like who would kill them (if it was Scott I would riot), how it would happen, was there a chance they wouldn't, maybe?... Not like the preparation helped, I mean considering the options, Shelby doing it was one of the least bad... but oh the emotional damage...
And its interesting to see cus canonically no one (except for my queen Apo) mourned them until years later, YEARS! And yet anyone that really likes the character mourns them like no other!
It really speaks on the tragedy that they were I think. The truth is that they really did not deserve to die, he did terrible things but not to this point, they were savable and they were killed on porpose by one of the few people they could still call family (not to say Shelby was completly unresonable but there is nuance here!) and really I don't like to compare Scott's and Pyro's finales but its impossible, specially when they give such opposing messages: its okay to forgive and try to be better vs inevitable revenge whithout a chance... not to say that Scott's ending is enjoyable but it does sting a little...
V!Pyro you could have been better, but not gonna lie, most people made it very dificult for you to be!
Iâve come to notice people are scared to even place pyro and Scottâs characters together, there use to be a lot of art all the time, but now only if there is a third character there, Ficâs have been taken down. Even a friend of mine who doesnât even POST. They use to draw Pyro a lot, both shipping and non-shipping, they barely draw him now, much less with another character.
Yeah, the once excitement to make works of Pyro's characters has died down a whole lot.
Being scared of being harassed and or shunned from a big part of the fandom is one reason on why a lot of people now avoid drawing Pyro's characters.
But another is also the fact that what Pyro and Maddy have shown is entitlement over fanworks, because if all fanworks made of their characters, no matter how self indulgent, are thought as "gifts" to them or something they have the right to revoke from being made, then I can see why a lot of people would rather not draw their characters at all.
If artists are never allowed the freedom to create what they want, and their works can be made "illegal" the next day, then why would artists want to create works of a character when you know ccs and their mods are keeping their watchful eye over you?
I know a lot of Pyro's defenders and mods hate the word "policing" being used, but it is exactly that, a lawless place such as fandom where people create works on characters in their own free time, sometimes taking hours is now governed by someone with a larger following, using their influence to decide what you can and cannot make total.
It's mostly why I draw ship art of Pyro's characters only, I want people in this fandom to post what they want for themselves and not grown ass adults, and I don't want to show support for creators who want to throw their following around because people are playing with dolls, frame those people shipping characters as "perpetrators" and those on their side as the "good guys", like a black and white scenario which is so incredibly manipulative even if the intention may not be manipulative as I hope is the case.
Make things for yourself, not for two adults which in the end of the day have full control over what they want and don't want to see on the internet by filtering tags like the rest of us.
Ccs especially have full control on canon and the true intentions behind their characters, but they cannot sit there and act hurt because someone put their characters in a romantic relationship in another story or headcanon.
If we allow censorship of what we find problematic such as "shipping", then it's not only going to stop at what people find problematic, and could very well branch out into ccs then banning their characters being drawn disabled, or plenty of other things, in which case would that be okay?
Its a shitty situation to be in the fandom at this time, but I encourage everyone to make things for themselves because while there are a lot of loud voices defending Pyro and Maddy, there are also a lot who have shown to still want to see more works created by the fandom, for the fandom, despite a cc making it "illegal" now, that won't change people thinking that those characters could still be cute together romantically, it will only affect how safe people will feel to talk and create in these spaces.
Forget about boundaries for a minute. Let's talk about triggers.
Triggers are a reaction that can form due to exposure to traumatic situations. Some aspect of the environment around the trauma (an item, a song, a food- ANYTHING) becomes associated with the trauma. Future exposure to that trigger brings up the memory of the trauma, causing things like flashbacks or dissociation.
Let's imagine someone who spent a lot of time very sick in the hospital, and as a result they're triggered by the smell of a specific brand of cleaner. Any time they smell it, it feels like they're right back alone and in pain and dying in that hospital bed.
What do you expect they might do to handle that? They might let friends and family whose houses they visit know, so those people avoid that scent. Maybe they've had to leave stores or restaurants a few times, so they call ahead to check if that cleaner is used. Maybe they go to therapy and start working on controlled exposure to it, or how to lessen their reaction.
Why don't they just ask that no one uses that cleaner anymore? It's legitimately triggering to them, it can make them have panic attacks - why would anyone want to use something like that, knowing how much it could upset them? It's not like there aren't plenty of other cleaning supplies and scents out there! How obsessed are you with this cleaner that you can't agree to not use it? Surely you understand how disrespectful it is to prioritize a smell over someone's comfort, they're a person too.
...
Someone who creates media (whether acting, writing, streaming, or otherwise) does not retain control over the stories other people tell when inspired by what they made. It's not about the fucking shipping, it's that the request is fundamentally unreasonable and controlling. Pretty much everyone is happy to use tags and filters and archive locking to ensure CCs don't have to see things they don't like; but if a CC wants to ensure art or writing exists to their precise specifications, that's called a commission.
A creator announcing you can't ship their characters is just a different flavor of Anne Rice issuing takedown letters to gay fanfic of IWTV, and deserves to be equally clowned on.
Not now, kitten, m- da- m- your parental figure is in the middle of a gender crisis
Btw, even if 'cc boundaries' were a good idea and in theory ought to be enforced, in practice that is an incredibly dangerous environment to create.
Let's think this through. If you tell your fandom to police what other fans make and inform you if someone is breaking your boundaries... and the main topics you ban are gore/sex/'mature' content... and a fairly large subset of your fans are teenagers/children....
what do you think is going to happen?
The answer is an army of children harrassing people on your behalf, while constantly exposing themselves to smut & gore. They will then either write callout posts to try to punish the creators (often reading/examining the content in-depth to do so) or sending the porn/gore/mature content directly to you (or older fans with more social clout who loudly proclaim their dedication to this fightš) to deal with, in the name of protecting their fave.
To be clear, I have seen this happen before in other fandom contexts, it is not a theoretical outcome. And it is FAR far more dangerous than any story someone could write and post on AO3, or any art posted to Twitter.
This is an environment that will get kids/teenagers hurt, regardless of intention. It's the underpinning of why I'm so vehement about freedom of speech and creativity within fandom, because no matter what intentions are, the reality is that 'cc boundaries' create an environment that is extremely hospitable to abusers.
š Even if your intentions are pure as the driven snow, some of the adults who campaign vehemently for enforcing boundaries will inevitably be doing so because they are creeps who like exposing kids to nsfw content. The cleverer predators privately convince kids to RP/write/draw 'boundary breaking' content, which is then used as blackmail to ensure secrecy or else risk ostracization if they went public with the abuse. This is not a hypothetical.
Since as of this morning this is Pyro's stated goal:
I am going to reiterate: this is a recipe for children actively looking for porn and gore, and sending it to you. That is not hyperbole, or catastrophizing, it is a literal description of what will happen. This is not intended to be concern trolling or exaggeration; those outcomes are something I have seen happen in other communities with similar 'boundary' rules.
Can you please consider the danger to members of your community? Setting up a system like this is a recipe for a high-control, high-shame environment where things like coercion, blackmail, and grooming are extremely likely.

not naming names but some of you are so creative and talented it's an honor to have you in my phone
Guys we need to stop babying Shelby. Like, I get that sheâs innocent and a bit naive, but sheâs not that young actually. Sheâs literally canonically 25. Sheâs older than Pyro. Guys, Shelby is the same age as Abolish.
Shelby is naive but they are absolutely an adult that can take responsability for her own actions!
They aren't some sweet summer child that did no wrong, she did wrong, allot of things wrong, they were complicit in the coven's abuse, she was Scott's biggest enabler, yes you can say it was because they believed in him and were his friend, but people... thats not what a good friend should do! A friend tells you when you make mistakes and encourages you to be better, they shouldn't forgive you/deny you did anything wrong. As much as sometimes people might say, Shelby did not fix Scott, it wasn't her actions that made him want to change, but the realisation of the depth of his feelings for his coven and the danger of the situation (if you do believe he changed).
Yes she was also a victim, but they were put in a position of priveledge in the coven, her dismissal of Pyro, Apo, Drift and even Avid's strugles with the coven is part of what led to this people's tragedys (except Drift cus she is built different), Shelby KILLED someone, yes that someone killed her fledgeling and was the one to turn them, but was also a victim of the coven that tried to reach out for her help multiple times, it was her sire and brother and someone that could have gotten better had she given them a chance, wether you believe it is justyfied or not they are as much of a murderer as the person they killed.
Not to mention how she was trying to kill Apo, although you could explain that by them being on opposing sides, but even when she realised how unfixable the coven was and Apo gave her a chance to get help, she refused it, they would rather stay with Scott, they never even question Scott's role in the coven's end.
They were planning to kill Avid themself! Because he was going manic, sure she didn't do it but for that to be something she was planning so early into Avid's stay with the coven... she was his friend, the only person he trusted enough to turn him... Makes you think Scott's coldness rubed of off her maybe... It also puts into perspective Pyro's death, because he just did what she was already planning on doing. Ofcourse that doesn't mean she wasn't mourning Avid but it does add a layer of being mad at Pyro and Owen not because of what they did to Avid but because they didn't have her permission to do it... like she should always have a say when it comes to her friends/fledgeling's lives... not them... đŤ¤
Again this is not to say Shelby isn't a victim of the situation she is in! She is a victim and being the golden child doesn't make her any less of a victim! I also really believe that the biggest diference when it cames to her and Pyro is the way she was treated, maybe I should make a post about it đ...
But seriously, Shelby is such an interesting character! Taking away their flaws is taking away part of why people relate to her and why their role on her and others stories is so well donne! Please let the cute female characters have flaws! Just cause they look and act cute, it doesn't make them a child!
prev yes I'm continuing the series!
Okay... I mayby drawn Elderfangs being Not Evil because, actually, their relationship isn't all hate and bloodshed. (surprisingly)
If you think it's weird that Louis's face is cropped. That's intentional. Because he's not the one who always disturbs the peace; it's Scott, mostly Scott. And my further yap will focus on Scott and his role in the dynamic, although Louis will be touched upon as well.
Spoiler: Scott cares for Louis and loves him even more than Louis loves Scott back, but neither of them knows it.
Relationship status: Evil for each other millions dead
@jackpyroscythe
A collection statements that need addressing + evidence
This isnât a smear campaign, but a collection of problems people are trying to genuinely communicate to you all in one post.
Boundaries are supposed to protect your space, but the internet is a public space, so while you can set rules for your twitch chat and discord, you canât ban shipping as a whole on both public and private spaces. Itâs unreasonable and encroaches on other artists' ability to create art for themselves.
Because boundaries arenât rules, and you cannot weaponize them as such.
You canât make rules which apply to everyone that even without your watchful eye would make you feel uncomfortable, and itâs incredibly controlling to nitpick how you want characters you made for a story to be interpreted.
And itâs not being attached to ships thatâs the issue here, but how you want to control how everyone else views character relationships for your sake, in a space where people want to share their creations to each other and not you.Â
Not every piece of fanart is a âgiftâ to you, not every piece of fanfiction wants to be read by you and demands your attention. You can perfectly avoid all these works with tags, both on ao3 or like so many people have suggested, a dni tag on tumblr as many other ccâs have used.
Thereâs a reason why so many ccâs have normalized dni tags, itâs because like any other person on the internet, you should filter what will trigger you and not expect every other person to just never post about your one trigger.
Ccâs such as Martyn, Cleo, Abolish, Legs and Graecie to name a few understand this concept well enough.
Yes these are the characters you created, but the moment you monetized them and grew a large following from a story being shown like any other, you lost the right to how everyone will view your character and grow attached to them. How they interpret your characters outside of you, shouldnât be your business because they arenât talking about you, once again character and content creator should remain separate.
No you arenât a content machine, you can choose how you want to roleplay and act, you can choose if you want characters to share your name or not, but you canât get mad at everyone else for then taking those characters as characters, whether their interpretation is what you want or not, accurate or not, it shouldnât be an issue to you or your partner.
Especially when a lot of people within these communities are minors and or significantly younger than you.
You have so many artists who have drawn works genuinely directed for you while also making their own fan pieces for the fandom they upheld, that's what got vsmp so popular to begin with. Yet you only seem to want the pieces directed to you for your approving eye.
Thatâs why I donât understand how you continue to deny the use of a dni tag, as if youâre purposefully trying to run into works not made for you.
Or how you will continue to âflirt as a jokeâ as you and Maddy said on stream, queerbait, but ban anyone for even writing fanfiction that has been properly tagged.
How you choose your words deliberately, with your âbirdsâ basically policing a fandom, or how to not harass past shippers, not extending that to how you shouldnât harass anyone to begin with. All while having your mods clarify how the âbirdsâ was a joke that no one understood, or how a clip of you clearly only stating âpast shippersâ actually included any shippers in general in a post where your mod defends you.
All these clarifications donât even have courtesy of even coming out of you directly, so how are we supposed to know the true intent of the words or what you meant, in an important stream which you wanted many to view, you didnât make this information clear or accessible to anyone not watching the stream.
Evidence if anything is edited or removed:
And there are already cases of harassment coming out because of the very words you said. link These were examples I could find from others
You get hundreds of people on your streams now, and it clearly shows you werenât ready for the influx of viewers you got after vsmp and the flight smp. Going from a few chatters in your previous streams on even cowboys smp, to now a constant stream of messages in your chat at all times.
I hope you realize by now that your community very much does idolize you, we are all human and we all make mistakes, however it is up to everyone, especially someone with a large following as you, to know when they overstepped and know that they can take back previous statements after making an informed decision.
If your defense tactic is to ban people from your twitch and discord because they posted something far too âship likeâ with their ârepeat offensesâ after you looked for it and didnât make a safe space for them to post it without your viewing or communityâs harassment, then yes itâs immature.
And I implore you to take time off to think about these things offline, defend yourself and make clear boundaries for your community, but not rules to the fandom as a whole, and have a conversation with your partner if the idea of knowing people like making two minecraft fictional block characters kiss is so distressing.
Because at one point, it isnât simply about boundaries but control.
Also please donât make someone as young as 16 mod for your chat when you clearly state how minors shouldnât even share their age in your communities. Minors will of course jump at the opportunity, but it is you as an adult almost a decade older than those 16 year olds to know it isnât safe for them.

gosh i adore how you draw v!shelby and v!owen <3 related to that, i imagine that louis used to curl owen's hair since it's canon(?) that louis had curly hair too (am basing that knowledge off of luanne's art)
I don't think Louis can save this
Alright so... Hi people!
So been thinking about my gender lately...
Its very scary to me to admit this but I've never conected to being a girl and have been wanting to explore my gender for some time but never really had the space to...
So... It might change later, it probably will as I figure things out, but for now I'm going they/them seeing how it feels and cus she/her ain't cutting it, as I do some research in the background!
Just thought I might share just in case! Take care <3
