Ankward who knows how many centuries old vampire that doesn't know how to deal with this human's overwhelming love, he doesn't want to be worshipped, every move he makes is clumsy, he lost count on how many plates he broke, how many cows and sheep he startled, he almost tripped last time he tried to leave his manor, he doesn't want Owen to chop anymore trees when he's in a cough fit so he pretends to cough to gashlit him into staying home, but it fails miserably because the next day Owen's back at it again

Where does one soul end and the other begin? Are they even truly separate anymore? Would their loved ones be able to tell the difference?

Would Leg's platoon see his mercy and compassion for all souls as his own or do they only think him a beast with claws? Would Owen see the poison vile titled over a well and think for even a moment that it could have been Louis?

Does Legundo believe that all of his faults are his own and anything good comes from someone else? Does Louis blame himself, his centuries of bloodshed, for what Legundo did?

Would Legundo still want to sacrifice himself if he believes that someone else attached to him is good?

What if v!Owen's punishment in the dark is loneliness? Pure, absolute loneliness. I've seen ideas where he lives in the ruins of Oakhurst with a pyre and no way to ever get to it– or even to be stuck with v!Legs– some way to forever see the pain he had caused. But what if it's not that.

Before Louis, Owen was lonely. So utterly lonely. And so the dark returns him to that loneliness. Nothing but loneliness. No one can see him. No one can touch him. He is nothing. As he was before Louis– and in a place where Louis can never get to.
