Tldr Amnesty International, global human rights organisation, published a report called 'A growing threat: the anti-rights movement in the UK'. In it is detailed, amongst others, a whole bunch of transphobic groups and organisations, including Beira's Place, JK Rowling's trans exclusionary sexual violence support service. JK Rowling threw a shit fit and got Amnesty to take the report down by threatening libel. This was obviously not enough, because you can't appease a fascist, so now she's going to bankroll a bunch of lawsuits anyway through the JK Rowling Women's Fund.*

This Tumblr post is the first time someone has explained to me *why* I couldn’t feed them before those instances.

every single time i have had to say, "i understand that if he had food or water, he could aspirate it into his lungs under anesthesia. i am not lying to you." THEN someone would make a little note and i would stop being repeatedly asked.

not a single time was that risk explained to me. the only reason it came up was because i already knew. i still don't understand why it isn't standard pre-op counseling or pre-op check information, when me as a parent acknowledging the actual risk also put THE MEDICAL STAFF at ease because i conveyed that i had informed understanding as reason to not lie about giving my kid food.

On 18 November 2016 Pokemon Sun and Moon were officially released. Together with their DLC-like counterparts Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon released a year later on November 17 2017, these titles marked the end of the pokemon nintendo 3DS era.

For 9 years now this region has continued to bring me joy and spark my imagination, inspiring a fancomic that I've still been updating to this day. Now we're officially celebrating the games with a voice-acted Pokemon Moon Playthrough and ONE huge pokedex illustrated by the whole community! :D
