She's a semi rehabilitated gith who's been living in Faerûn for 15 years. Getting tadpoled was one thing, but now shes become the defacto mom friend to a group of traveling idiots AND one of them is a bit too much like she was back in the day.

He wasn't the best guardian, how could he be? He was a kid himself, and he had never had a good parental figure in his life. He made Rhin cry more than a few times, he kept things from them- including their own nature- and he roped them into a life of crime before they could even comprehend the possible consequences. Tar'lyn has no idea how to show his love, and so it consumes him, it overwhelms every other feeling and drives every action he takes.

My brother described Tar'lyn on one of those "describe your oc in one sentence" posts as: loved once, died twice. FUCK YOU!!!!! Tar'lyn really did die a little when Rhin left. He gave up on dying his hair, he traded his fancy clothes and jewellery for old robes, he hid the face he was once proud of. He lost the first and only person he ever felt true, unconditional love for.

He was angry too, of course. They betrayed his trust, did the ONE thing he always drilled into them not to do. But ultimately, it was his insistence that pushed them out the door. He denied them something they needed desperately. He did so out of love, to protect them, knowing it would end poorly. But Rhin only saw the denial, not the love.

But they found their way back to him. And no matter how old they get, how jaded, how different they become, Rhin will always be the scruffy little baby that changed his life in Tar'lyn's eyes.

Despite still recovering from my illness and usually hating monotonous tasks, I honestly really enjoyed making this!! I think I just love Rhin so much that looking at them is enough to make me happy ehehe
