Yumi and the Nightmare Painter has very interesting implications on how being a trans Radiant would go: Namely, that being Invested will cause your body to match one’s self-image. Presumably with the amount of one’s Investiture scaling the amount this takes place. Of course, as one’s self-image is a complex and nuanced thing based on lived experience, you probably wouldn’t become your dream self (normal people aren’t as Invested as the Returned, don’t ya know), but for a trans person the Radiant Oaths would most likely be MAGIC HRT!!!

This is confirmed in the Stormlight TTRPG handbook as well! It specifically mentions gender fuckery in one of the sections about playing a Radiant

some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, “what’s the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?” and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is “unofficial”, and we know that’s not the right word, but it’s the only word we can come up with…until finally it’s like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is “artificial”.

Oh, and since I have your attention: z-library (books and textbooks) and sci-hub (gatekept scientific journal articles.) I just ripped a textbook for class off z-library and snatched a required reading from sci-hub. Life is good and education should be accessible at every stage and station of life.
