Hello, lovely!! Of course I do! I absolutely love these two, they're my babies fr. I could yap about them for hours.
I have two different ways I like to interpret them, depending on if it's in cannon setting or some kind of non-magical AU. These are mostly for the latter, but are suitable for cannon as well, I think.
★ In school, they'd have the biggest rivalry going on in history of Hogwarts. Two straight A students that are always trying to up the other. Teacher's pets, signing up for every curriculum known to man at the school, just to prove they're better than the other.
★ after they graduate, I don't think they'd really keep in contact or anything like that. They'd meet either through the Black Brother's or Dorlene / Jegulus again.
★ At first, the rivalry is still there, and the tension is high as fuck. Their friends have to physically hold them apart at some point, because the two of them wouldn't be afraid to get physical (it would be over some little thing too).
★ Anyway, as the time would go and they'd been force to spend more and more time together due to their friend groupes mingling, eventually they would come around and actually learn that the other is quite normal and just click.
★ Like they're soulmates in the way, that their souls compliment the other's. They just fit together in every sense of that word.
★ They're bi for bi!!! Both in the way that they always date the most gorgeous, breath taking perfect women without any flaws, and then their type in men is a scrumptious feral man who hasn't done one good thing in his life and looks like a disaster (bisexual things, really).
★ One of my many headcannons for Lily is that she was raised in very Catholic family, but she herself is atheist, or at the very least doesn't practice/believe in any religion/God. However she was raised the way she was, and I think that shaped her up in many ways. Always perfect, clean, not making a mistake, without a flaw. I think Barty would help her unlearn this piece by piece. At first it's small things, like, yes, you don't have to be the nicest all the time, yes you're allowed to be mad/angry. And then maybe later on breaking also her bad view of how she has to look. Like, no, flower, you can dye your hair. You can have tattoos and such.
★ Now for Barty, I think she helps him to calm down and just relax. Barty's a chronic yapper. He's always talking about something - work, school, random facts, a book he has read, a movie he saw, a song he listened to - his mouth is running non-stop. It comes from his childhood where he always had to be quiet as a mouse in the presence of his father, so now he never shuts up. I think Lily would teach him that silence is not all bad, and he can simply exist in it without feeling the pressure. Also, I think she's one of the fewer people he can go quiet around.
★ Lily has either Goth aesthetic going on or full on cottage core fairytale whimsy girl, no in between. Barty on the other hand is just...well raccon reincarnated. Punk, grunge, with tattos everywhere and piercings he had done himself in the bathroom at three am. Either way, the two of them just fit together in the opposites attract kind of way.
★ Once they get together, Barty's obsessed. Like he can't believe he pulled of such a baddie as Lily Evans, though he would never admit it to her. He's obsessed, downright possessive and a jealous prick, though I think a lot of it comes from his childhood trauma. Lily would hate it at first, because she would feel trapped as much as she did in her family with their expectations. It would take them a long time and a lot of fights to get over, but they'd eventually work around it - either in therapy cough cough both of them need it, or Barty would get his shit together in the fear of losing her.
★ Barty's mom would absolutely love and adore Lily (Barty's mum is the only person Barty's still in contact with his family). They'd bake every other weekend together while Barty's doing God knows what around the house. They'd gossip and talk about Barty's childhood and what he was like when he was a kid. In short, Barty's mum loves Lily. Now as for Lily's family... well, Barty's everything they wouldn't want for their daughter. Petunia is no better. She thinks Barty's some kind of drug dealer (and yeah maybe he had been a drug dealer at some point in his life, but shhh). It's one of the many reasons that causes the riff between the Evan's sisters. And Lily just can't understand why her older sister doesn't want her to be happy.
These are the ones at the top of my head right now, but there's so much more!!! As I said I could yap about them for hours to no end and still have something to say. Though this post is long enough as it is, so I'm just going to leave it here, hehe.
