So, who am I?
My name is Alora <3 but feel free to come up with a nickname or something, I don't mind at all.
I am currently 20 years old!
My pronouns are she/they!
I have a few interests; reading, writing, video and photo editing. I love dogs, cats and animals in general (my dogs name is Loki, she is just the cutest and I hope one day to get a cat). I'd love to learn to draw and be able to make art in that way. I kinda also want to learn Electric Guitar, being able to play those solos in Queen songs would be so cool.
In my opinion, I am pretty chill with boundaries (if something makes me uncomfortable, I'll tell you so please don't worry about that). If you want to send me a dm, I am happy to chat and I am also happy to listen to rants or just things that you want to talk about. This is a safe space and if you ever feel that it's not, please tell me and I will change that immediately.
In regards to NSFW/18+ content. I will always say at the beginning of my posts if they include it and say MDNI (I will also tag it) before I put a cut so what is below is unseen, if you wish not to see it. I don’t really consider my blog to be an 18+ blog as I very rarely post NSFW content. I just wanted to add this into my intro so people are aware. like yes actually there is a conversation to be had about how a characters actions are framed and how they thematically fit with the rest of the story and it can in fact reflect the author's beliefs. some authors are even trying to make a point
not all depiction is glorification but sometimes it is and you need to be able to tell the difference. not because your immortal soul will be tainted by reading The Bad One, but because you need to have reading comprehension skills
Fanfic about your blorbo being raped doesn't cause anyone to support actual rape, but superhero movies that are given money and props from the United States millitary do infact cause people to support the United States Military.
Oh, that last part is good. It also highlights the difference between individual actors making art on their own time and the money, industry, politics, and social systems behind corporate art.
