Hahaha yeah sorry yall. Just really wanted to play with a hockey au and wasnât sure what other universe to try it out with!! Glad you liked it đŤśđ
hii. I completely understand if you canât do this request because you may not have seen the show/ read the books but I was thinking a Connell x Marianne dynamic between Remus lupin and reader. I canât tell who Remus would be though. Either, he could be written as Connell in the sense that he has popular friends yet he knows heâs different and feels left out. Or Remus is Marianne which could be interesting. Please and thank you ! đđ
Hi hunny! Idk who Connell or Marianne are. Sorry đŤś

hockey remus ?
HOCKEY REMUS???
any scraps are appreciated. ...please
hockey player!Remus Lupin x fem!reader who's on the social media team [1.7k words]
CW: team chaos, Swedish Remus [as per our hockey au's], Remus has a crush, pre-established relationship, crack/comedy
âNo.â
âPlease.â Your voice is tinny, muffled through the door that Benji Fenwick has barricaded shut behind him after he fled your proximity.Â
âCute, and usually works on me as far as pretty girls go, but my answerâs still no.âÂ
Oliver Woods smirks as he zips up his bag. âYouâd think she had been chasing you with a gun.â
Fenwick turns to scowl at him. âFuck off, Woodsy.â
âIs there a reason youâre hiding from the woman with a camera?â Remus asks casually, more focused on dutifully packing his duffel bag post-practice than the antics of his teammates.Â
âIâm not simply hiding from a woman with a camera, Loops,â he hisses in response. âIâll have you know, thatâs usually a kink of mine.â
Remus groans. âGross.âÂ
âFenz, please add to list of things I do not want to know,â Viktor Krum announces gruffly.Â
Woodsyâin typical Woodsy fashionâsteers the conversation back on track. âOkay, so if the woman with a camera isnât your problem, what is?â
âI cannot be photographed like this,â Fenwick huffs, gesturing animatedly at the fat lip he received at last nightâs game. The vain bastard.
âFenz, please. Youâre just as handsome as ever,â you contend through the door.
Fenwick scoffs, shooting the door a disbelieving look. âWell, duh. That was never up for discussion.â
âWhereâs Black?â Remus ventures helpfully. âHeâs usually all about the social media presence.âÂ
âTeamâs entire feed is Black already,â Krum grumbles. âAsshole is pretty, but not that pretty.âÂ
âFenwick,â you call out.
The player in question eyes the door warily. âYes?â
Your question echoes like a death toll. âWho else is in there with you?âÂ
With this, the remainder of the locker room freezes; four professional six-plus foot hockey players hold their breath like terrified rabbits in the face of a prowling mountain lion.Â
âFenwick,â Woods hisses. âDonât you fucking-â
âLupin, Krum, and Woods,â Benji rapid fires, wincing contritely in the face of his three teammates groaning in betrayal.Â
âFenwick, youâre off the hook if you open this door right now,â you promise.Â
âBenji Fenwick, if you open that door-â Remus starts, only to be cut off by Krum.
âI will string you by testicals to rafters, Fenwick.â
âGuys, I love you, youâre my entire world, I would take 83 slapshots to the ribs for all of you-â
âFenwickâŚâ Remus pleads again.
â-I cannot be photographed like this.âÂ
Benjiâin his final act of betrayalâswings the door open and flies out into the hallway behind you, using your smaller frame like a human shield. And while Remus is surprised by the show of restraint from Krum and Woods, there was never any chance that Remus was going to go shoving past you to get to Fenwick.Â
No matter how badly he wanted to throttle the sod.Â
âFĂśrbannada skit,â (translation: fucking shithead) Remus curses under his breath, though even he can hear the resignation in his voice.
You have the grace to smile apologetically at the three remaining players, holding your camera up in one hand and the other in a universal sign of surrender. âAny chance one of you is willing to smile for the camera? Iâll be so quick.âÂ
âNo. Russians do not do this,â Krum announces, earning him a glance from Woods.
âRussians donât what? Smile?â
âDa.âÂ
âWoodsy, youâve got a nice smile,â Remus hedges cautiously, cautious of drawing attention to himself by pointing it in someone else's direction.
âYou do,â you agree, flashing a smile in the assistant captain's direction. âBut weâve got lots of the team captains already.â
Woodsyâs smile is victorious.Â
âWell, then,â he hums happily, offering the last two players in the locker room a smarmy salute. âLady, gentlemen.âÂ
Krum mutters Russian profanity under his breath as he finishes up in his own stall.Â
âJust a picture,â you all but beg, and Remusâ traitorous heart squeezes at how desperate you sound.
It doesnât squeeze enough for him to willingly place himself in front of your camera lens, though.Â
âIs never just a picture with you, lâvyĂłnak,â (ĐŃвŃнОк: lionet/little lion, lion cub) Krum argues, but his use of a Russian epithet belittles whatever ire he has with you.
Thatâs the danger of the team's favourite social media team member. While they all make a point of avoiding you like the plague, thereâs something about you that has wiggled its way into the heart of every player on the team. You even managed to win over the prickly Russian goalie and the notoriously aloof Remus.
Especially the notoriously aloof Remus.
Perhaps thatâs part of the reason he avoids you so resolutely; he doesnât want to do anything to draw attention to the fact that heâs really quite smitten with you.Â
Honestly, when youâre not waving a camera or phone in his face, you may very well be his favourite person on the teamâs support staff.Â
And thatâs saying a lot, considering that their PT, Lars, has magic fingers and turns Remus into a certified pile of goo twice a week during their therapeutic massages.Â
âIt must be Loops,â Krum decides, earning him a strangled sound of disbelief from Remus.
âWhy must it be Loops?â
Krum shrugs as if itâs really quite simple. âBecause, Russians do not do this.â
âRussians smile, Krum. You have a lovely smile,â you argue sweetly, andâdammitâeven Krum softens.Â
âPaper, rock, scissors me,â Krum announces.Â
âI beg your pardon?â
Krum doesnât bother responding, merely steps up to Remus with one palm raised flat and facing upwards, the other held above it in a fist.Â
âPaper, rock, scissors. Da? Scissors me, Loops.â
âNever say that again,â Remus tells him emphatically.
âWhy wonât scissors me?âÂ
âKrum, please stop asking me to scissor you.âÂ
Remus loses the stand-off with his starting goalie when heâs distracted by your laughter. Dammit, he wishes Swedes didnât smile either.Â
âOkay, it all comes down to a game of rock, paper, scissors,â you announce, holding up your damn camera to capture the moment between teammates. Krum was right; itâs never just a picture with you.Â
Remusâagainst all his better judgementâmirrors Krumâs posture and does, indeed, play a round of rock, paper, scissors.Â
He loses when Krum crushes Remusâ scissors with his rock.
âBest two out of three?â Remus all but begs.Â
âNet,â Krum declines, slinging his bag over his shoulder and striding from the room. âSmile for camera like good little Swede.â
âBye, Viktor!â you call out after him.
Krum replies from some distance down the hall. âGoodbye, ĐŃвŃнОк.âÂ
âIâm really sorry, Lupin.â You sound so apologetic, look even more so when Remus removes his glare from the now empty hallway his teammates have abandoned him in to face you. âI know no one likes to get stuck with me, we can be quick.â
And well, now doesnât Remus feel like the biggest prick. âI love being stuck with you.â
Too honest, dial it back, Loops.Â
âItâs thatâ He points at the camera like it might bite. âthat I struggle with.â
You laugh good naturedly at him. âFair enough. Come sit, weâll be quick.âÂ
It is not, in fact, quick, because apparently all of Remusâ smiles look like pained grimaces.Â
âYou look like you just ate something sour.â
âI donât look like anything,â Remus argues.
âYes you do.â
âThis is just my face.â
âYour face is usually nicer than this,â you counter.
âWell, now youâre just being hurtful.â
You laugh and look up from your camera; Remus smiling in victory at eliciting it.Â
âSee! Like that. Why canât you smile like that for me?âÂ
I did just smile like that for you, Remus thinks grimly. Itâs the camera Iâm not fond of.Â
You sigh. âFine.â
âFine?âÂ
You hum thoughtfully, scrolling through the viewfinder on your camera. Youâre silent for so long that he thinks youâre going to dismiss him before you carry on. âWhat do you think youâd do for work if you were more athletic?âÂ
Remus pauses, his mind like a record, scratching and skipping and trying desperately to feed the needle back onto the thread.Â
âWhat?â
âIf you were more athletic,â you repeat, still not looking up. âWhat do you think youâd be doing? Like, a sport, or something.âÂ
âWhat sport?â Remus clarifies. âIf I wasâŚâ
âMore athletic,â you confirm.Â
Remus is staring at you open mouthed, confused as to how heâs not possibly missing something in translation here.Â
âCan you repeat that?âÂ
Youâre still looking down at your camera, but your lips purse as if youâre fighting off a smile.Â
âWhat kind of sport would you be playing, or job would you be doing, if you were more athletic?â
âMore athletic?â Remus balks, disbelief colouring his tone. âIâm an athlete!â
âWell, yeah, sure.â Sure, you say! Like Remus hasnât dedicated the majority of his life to perfecting his skill, strength, and body to elite levels. âBut like, if you were more.â
Remus lets out a startled laugh, and then you finally look up at him.
Your eyes shine with mirth, silent laughter shaking your shoulders as you smirk triumphantly at Remus.Â
Itâs over for Remus then; he dissolves into delighted laughter which only picks up when you join him.Â
âUnbelieveable,â Remus huffs with a shake of his head.
âThatâs me,â you agree triumphantly, lowering your camera until it hangs from your neck. âThatâll be all.â
You donât end up showing Remus what you managed to capture of him while you made him question all of his lifeâs work and choices; the picture you ended up posting on the teamâs social media was of him and Krum playing rock, paper, scissors, plus one of Remus throwing his head back in defeat and Krum smirking (though certainly not smiling) triumphantly.Â
Itâs only (much) later that Remus finally sees the picture you took of him that dayâone of him laughing at your chirpingâused as his contact image on your phone.Â
Heâs glad thatâs where it stayed; he looks entirely too love sick for that to be posted onto the teamâs account.

Steve Harrington x fem!reader who is having one of those days [1.2k words]
summary: Some days you need to come home from work, peel off your pants, strip out of your bra, and pour yourself a healthy glass of wine as you wait for your friend to stop by. And some days you fling your door open expecting your friend only to come face-to-face with some guy named Steve Harrington.
CW: partial nudity, nonsexual nudity, meet-ugly, pre-established relationship, reader has hair she can put up in a bun/clip, reader owns a cat, fluff/crack.
There are days you find yourself thanking your lucky stars that you live alone, but never so much as coming home from work after a terrible day.Â
The kind of day where your first plan of attack as the door of your apartment clicks shut behind you is to peel off your pants and release yourself from the prison that is your bra. The kind of day that sees your hair thrown up in an elastic, a scrunchie, a clipâ whatever gets it out of your face enough for you to feel like you can take a full breath.Â
No oneâs there to witness you pull the cork from a chilled bottle of wine with your teeth as you reach into a cupboard for the largest wine glass you own, nor is anyone there to watch you trip over your cat and then (loudly) accuse them of trying to take you out and make off like a bandit with your life insurance policy.Â
After a full day of fielding questions, endless tasks being dropped off at your desk, as well as feeling like you were doing everyone elseâs job for them, youâre officially responsible for no one.Â
Your eyes shift over to your friendâs tupperware washed and awaiting pick up on the counter. So, maybe youâre only responsible for one other person tonight, and itâs hardly an arduous taskâshe mentioned she would swing by on her way home to pick it up herself.Â
Youâre sliding a frozen pizza into your preheated oven with one hand and taking a sip from your (second) very large glass of wine when the doorbell rings.Â
You shoot your cat a major warning glare as you make your way to the door, not wanting your poor friend to walk in on the scene of a crime (murder in the first degree) when all she wanted to do was to pick up her favourite tupperware container.Â
You fling the door open, ready to warn her of the serial assailant and let her in to retrieve said containers when you nearly choke on your sip of wine.Â
Because it is decidedly not your friend standing on the other side of your wide open door.Â
And now today has turned into one of those days; after an already grueling day at work, you get home, strip your pants off, free yourself of your bra, all but chug one large glass of wine and pour yourself another before flinging your door open to a young man whoâs looking at you like you just shouted a slur at him.Â
âOh,â is all that manages to leave your lips.Â
People often talk about fear responses: fight or flight. And by God do you wish your instincts told you to slam the door in thisâalbeit rather prettyâmanâs face and hope he comes back never (or at least when youâre clothed) instead of standing here, partially clothed, gaping at him like a landlocked fish.Â
The guyâs fully clothedâthe bastardâand white knuckling a clip board in front of him which heâs now using to shield your bare legs from his line of sight, refusing to blink lest he be accused of not making anything but perfect eye contact with you at all times.Â
The two of you stay in some kind of half-naked, silent standoff. Or maybe itâs more of a game of chicken; whoever draws attention to your distinct lack of clothing first loses.Â
A game heâs clearly playing to win. âSteve.âÂ
Your brows raise. âI beg your pardon?â
He winces, moving to correct himself. âHarrington! I- shit. Steve, Iâm Steve. Harrington. Steve Harrington.âÂ
You nod slowly. âOkay, Steve Harrington.â You bring your glass to your lips and give him a once overâsomething only one of you can do without being called a pervert. âWhat exactly can I help you with?âÂ
Steve Harrington seems to shake himself out of something, looking down at his clipboard and then letting out a pained sound when it forces his eyes down towards your naked legs.Â
âRight! Yes, well, uhm, you see. I have a little league team? Not, like, own it or anything. But, like, run it? No, coach! Iâm the coach. I coach a little league team.âÂ
âThe point, Steve Harrington?â you all but beg, flashing your elderly neighbour a tight-lipped smile as she walks by shooting you a look of disdain. Your entire apartment complex is going to be talking about the half-naked chick in unit 303 who entertains men with an open door by morning.Â
âYes! Right, okay.â Steve collects himself. âMy team is hosting a barbeque next weekend to raise money for their end-of-season tournament. Weâll be selling hotdogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, street corn, as well as tickets for different raffle prizes, andâ well, yeah. Thatâs pretty much it. Barbeque. Raffle. Raising money. Baseball.âÂ
You both take a deep breath at the end of his speedrun spiel.
âGreat,â you say on an exhale.
âYep.â
The two of you continue staring at each other, and you honestly have to hand it to Steve. His eye contact game in the face of bare legs, womenâs underwear, and pert nipples really is superb. He should get a trophy. Do they make trophies for that? If they can make trophies for squeaky voiced little league players, surely they can make them for gentlemanly men.Â
âIs that all?â you manage.
Steve shakes himself again, ripping a sheet from his clipboard and thrusting it in your direction while busying himself with admiring the brick facade of the wall above your door frame.Â
You accept the flyer, giving it a brief perusal before lowering it in an attempt to protect your modesty. Just as quickly youâre ripping it away from yourself when one of your neighbours nearly trips over his feet when he assumes you're entirely naked from the waist down.Â
âGreat. Just- yeah. Great. Thanks, Steve Harrington. Anything else?â
âSteve,â he blurts. âJust, uh, just Steve.â
You offer him the most genuine smile you can muster. âOkay, Steve. Well, Iâm going to go put more clothes on-â His gaze briefly flickers down before those doe-shaped eyes dutifully make their way back to your own â-and die of embarrassment, if you donât mind.â
âNot at all,â he huffs, managing a small chuckle disguised as clearing his throat. âI, uh, hope you can make it to the barbeque.âÂ
âRight,â you laugh. âIâll make sure to wear more clothes.â
âMight be best, you know, with the kids and the PTA.âÂ
âRight.â
âButâŚâ His blush has migrated to the tips of his ears and down the neck of his shirt. âThis seems like a nice way to spend an evening if- uhm, if you ever consider inviting company, Iâd love a flyer of my own.âÂ
With that, he taps his knuckles twice on his clipboard, flashes you a devilish smile completely at odds with the pink of his complexion, and turns to leave you gaping on your doorstep.Â
Youâre only startled out of your stupor by a fur-lined body rubbing on your ankles which prompts you to slam the door, your ears ringing as you blink at the woodgrain.Â
A wet nose presses into your calf.Â
âNot a fucking word,â you hiss at your feline companion.
