media and pop culture hypes up psychosis a lot as The Worst That Can Happen out of sanism, so even when you try and filter that cultural bias out you still assume it's based on something

when, no, psychosis is actually very simple: it's just hyperactive pattern matching. it's your brain's signal-to-noise ratio being off balance, it's seeing images in random static. it's not always this special uniquely big thing, it's in fact quite mundane a lot of the time.

no one is immune to psychosis, it's not purely the realm of the insane. anyone is one bad night of sleep or one bad case of food poisoning or one bad fever away from being just like me on my worst days.

In Paper Mario: The Origami King, one of the jokes that can be optionally encountered in the brief visit to Peach's Castle late in the game is attempting to open the door on the right side of the foyer, which is locked. Bowser will then suggest there is nothing on the other side to begin with.

While this is true in the sense that there is no actual way to open the door and it does not lead to a room, looking behind the door reveals there is actually a space there that is identical to the spaces used for loading zones behind other openable doors in the game, so the door could in fact accommodate being opened and taking Mario to another room. It stands to reason that the space behind the door would not be modeled at all if it was not intended to be opened at any point, as is overwhelmingly the case with unopenable doors in 3D video games.

This suggests that the door was possibly intended to lead somewhere during development and the room was removed, and Bowser's comment is not merely making fun of unopenable doors in video games but also is inside joke for the developers. It should however be noted that it is possible that the space was simply copied over from the other side of the room when it was modeled (since the layout is symmetrical), though the room is not actually exactly symmetrical making this slightly less likely.

Hi so my other post is like major dead and I still haven't received anything. So. New post.

I'm in debt due to a needing to pay back my parents for my stupid $2,000 mattress. I only make $10 an hour and I work less than 20 hours a week. I also have to pay my parents rent on top of this, pay off other things, and overall, I am in a position where I cannot make enough money at a job.

What's worse is I may need to stop working due to how my job influences my physical health. Nearly every time I have to walk to work, and I have to stand the entire time I am there. I am not allowed to sit down unless it is "absolutely necessary" (an injury). Because I am younger, nobody takes my physical disability seriously, so I have been bearing the extreme amount of pain this puts me in for the past 5 years. This can't last forever. Every single shift is whittling down my physical state, and my feet have hurt worse than they ever did.

I am deeply in the closet due to my family being transphobic towards nonbinary people and also due to me being in an area where more and more trans and nonbinary people are targeted. My family is also incredibly ableist towards me and say that I should work the same like everyone else at a full time job, even though I would quite literally be in a state where I wouldn't be able to work because of that. They say I am too young to have a physical disability and shut down any notion of possibility of getting help for it.

If I were to go on government benefits, I would have to leave the house, and I would lose most of my savings. Considering how homeless people are treated down here (they're incarcerated), I can't do that.

This has put extreme strain on my mental state. I have been crying myself to sleep most nights. I really need the help, even though I hate asking for it. There just isn't any other way I think I'll get out of here.
