I haven't heard people talking about this much, but I feel like it's important for people to know. Especially since SB 63 essentially bans bail funds by not allowing organizations, charities, individuals, or groups to bail out more than three people per year and requiring them to register as bonding agencies.

This is a direct response to all the protests happening here in Atlanta. So far, spreading the word can help as well as donating to The Atlanta Solidarity Fund .

Basically: universities tend to have investment funds that they use to cover costs/accumulate wealth so they're not just reliant on government funding and donations from alumni. Divestment is the act of redirecting those investments away from certain things (like deciding to no longer invest in fossil fuel industries).

SO: if you're a university student/alumni of a university and want to make sure they're not investing in things that would benefit Israel (like weapons exports, etc) you could contact that university to a) inquire if they have any relevant investments and b) if so, divest into something that doesn't empower the genocide of Palestinians, however tangentially or indirectly.
