sorta extended scene thanks to the light glitching, explanation under read more; mods are mine, my modding tag
I don't know if you guys remember, but @hadesmylover sent an ask about this exact scene last month. Since then, I've gotten this bug twice myself. The first gif is free cam of the moment just before the screen fades to black with Grace and Leon sitting beside each other, just with focus on Leon & with the light already bugging since as you can see it's still rather bright. The black and white gif with Leon's head tilt IS the scene animated after that even though it's typically faded to black at this point and you wouldn't be able to see it unless the lighting bugs for you. That being said, I can't figure out how to trigger it. It first triggered when I made a save with 'save anywhere' from nexus after defeating Victor, reloading, and then lurking around the whole scene after it for a loooooong time with free cam. I didn't even realize at first I actually got this bug, hence why it's not recorded as I would have liked. After that, I've only gotten this bug once, accidentally as well, with free cam not even booted up, and it cut off at some point. So it's not tied to either booting up the save in a place where you aren't supposed to save or using free camera. Believe me, I've tried getting it again... The thing is, if the game bugs at this point, you can also see Grace crawling closer to Leon with free cam once Chris' team descends, otherwise they're mostly in the black when the focus is on the team descending, not on Leon and Grace, but THEY ARE animated. Will gif later, but again, I can't exactly recreate the bug, so it's not ideal, and since I was recording with DOF not turned off it gets blurry in places. did record it with DOF off with vamp!Leon but I don't like how it looks xD Honestly, I wish there was a way to permanently bug game's lighting, because now I wonder what else is where, animated in the dark.
For me, the bug occurring is always accompanied by the lighting never changing from the red hue to the grey-ish tones, so like I said... just the lighting bug but but but why are there animations... This is not typical for Capcom as far as I can tell, normally, they don't animate or even include the characters if they're not in the shot at least it was the case with RE4 remake, but in this ending there sure is a lot happening literally in the dark.
