one of the funnier incidents of me assuming someone knew a meme irl was when a new coworker was talking about some woman who got arrested for tax fraud and I went "God forbid women do anything" and he got scared and thought I was accusing him of being sexist, so he started apologizing and saying how tax fraud isn't even bad, actually.

man came up to me and my friend at a bar and he said he came to that bar every friday for the last two years and then said "I don't usually meet beautiful American girls here" and we were like you're here every week and there are plenty of beautiful girls here!!! why do men insist on insulting other women when they try to talk to you

finding a new doctor. applying for jobs. searching for apartments. messaging used car dealers. getting your health insurance to do their job. getting a pharmacy to do their job. getting the dmv to accept the documents they told you to bring. just listing things they probably make you do in hell

i really wish we could all just stop this weird facade that mental health is taken seriously just because there might be more conversation about depression than there was 20 years ago. as soon as you’re unable to work or maintain relationships or mask effectively enough you might as well be a joke. even to people who say they understand it

I've always disliked mr beast just based on his content mill vaguely exploitative vibes so it's been kind of wild learning he also does legitimate crimes and workplace violations. it's like disliking an acquaintance because they're kinda annoying and then finding out they kill people too like damn dude you didn't have to do all that i already hated your ass.

it's genuinely bullshit that you should be required to own a mobile phone for participation in literally any aspect of life
