not to be a pedantic hater but i wish tumblr accent wasn't the commonly used term to describe tumblrina typing quirks and phrases bc that is Not an accent it's a dialect!!

every time i start to feel cringe for being too deep in the hyperfixation i remember the intense depression i have waded through and have to remind myself that enjoyment is fleeting (so grab it with both hands), and life is for loving (so hold that love close), and if anyone thinks i’m cringe they must not be having a very good time (and i hope they can find a good time soon).

The way all the 2020s have done so far have been making me categorically against every new generation of tech that comes out is insane. Like I'm from a technological boom generation, saw the first portable phones, nokias & blackberries & flipphones etc, and the first smartphones, and the first ipods & ipads & tablets in general while still having cassettes & DVD & MP3 players around so I know how all of it work, I had computer classes in high school, I did the transition between home desktop computers to laptops and back to gaming computers. But then they started to put internet in your printer & microwave, everything has ads & AI now and every update is worst than the last. I literally loved technology and they ruined it

They screwed up the search on purpose to make you spend more time there to display more ads to you. They put ads in my Kindle. There are ads in my Windows after a clean install as a part of the OS and not a malware infection. Every video I try to watch has fifteen ads and three sponsorship messages. When I want to get some software, it’s impossible to just buy it, I have to subscribe to it, owning nothing. They stuff AI into everything in an attempt to have ROIs on it while the technology has no clear use yet and wasn’t ready to be deployed on this scale. The problem is that the progress is not progress anymore, it isn’t driven by some sort of vision or genuine desire to make people’s life better or easier. It’s run by the CFOs and their marketing department.
