hello! I recently found this rad app called “CamScanner”, a mobile app for android and iOS

what does this app do? well, basically it imitates a scanner, so even if you don’t have one, you can take real cool pictures of your drawings!

for this to work, i suggest you take a picture of your entire paper / sketchbook / etc. The app will automatically crop your picture and come out with something like this:

(sometimes it wont be too accurate, but that can be easily fixed by moving the frame yourself)

once scanned, the app will make it so your drawing looks like this:

(the app will have some presets, so you might want to mess around with those. OR you can mess with the settings yourself to get a look you desire)

this can be really helpful if you plan to color your traditional piece on a computer, or something similar.

this can even work with colored drawing, if you’d like!

if you mess with the settings yourself, i bet you could get the picture to look better, as i did this with the presets.

I’m just gonna go ahead and bullet our presidents’ train of thought while writing these two tweets:

•all these plane crashes are caused by technology

•therefore, airplanes are too complex to fly

•for example, we no longer need pilots

•because planes are basically flown by MIT engineers

•these MIT pilot engineers do too much technology

•they are wasting their time because we need pilots to fly these airplanes

•the best ever pilots

•these pilots have to be so good they are geniuses

•geniuses like Albert Einstein

•who, by the way, was a horrible pilot

•but he could figure out all this technology

•just like all these world-class pilots we have

Planes have become too reliant on technology rather than the trained gut instincts of a good pilot.

•technological advances have allowed the aviation industry to be literally the safest form of travel on the planet. You are thousands of times more likely to die in a car crash than an airplane crash

•anytime a plane crash happens, the entire industry learns from the mistakes, and changes them so it doesn’t happen again. For 50+ years, accidents have provided necessary changes to engineering, procedures, flight controllers, and ever other aspect of the industry. These changes improve the safety standard of the industry and prevent the same accidents from happening again.

•As I write this, Boeing and the NTSB are evaluating the causes of the two most recent crashes, and after their investigation is complete they will update their training procedures, their engineering faults, and whatever else necessary to make sure this type of crash never happens again

1. Go for the eyes. I know it’s basic, but some people are squeamish about it - DON’T BE. Take out an eye, and the majority of people will back right off, or be debilitated.

2. Do NOT let them get you by the hair. Do absolutely anything to prevent this.

3. Go for the throat. If you can hit them anywhere, make it to the throat.

4. The elbow is short range, but that shit hurts when you’re hit with it (I’ve been elbowed in the face, it doesn’t feel good.)

Another side note: if you’re hitting with a closed fist, only use that with soft spots for maximum damage/shock. If your punch lands incorrectly on bony surfaces, you can break bones or dislocate joints. 

Pull pinkie fingers at a sharp angle like no one’s business. They’re weak, hurt like a bitch, and will break easily. Clapping your hands, using the heel, down HARD over someone’s ears can also help stun them to assist in your escape. 

Most important MAKE NOISE. Scream, roar, cry, do whatever you can to draw as much attention as possible to what’s happening. Even if you hold them off for just a little bit, and bystanders are nearby, someone might help or assist with calling police if they hear enough of a fuss. Sometimes, enough noise and resistance can also help discourage attackers, if they think you’ll be too much of a problem.
