"Kill all (insert trait)" is always and I mean always an unhealthy statement, but people still defend it. Here's how to shatter the 3 main arguments.
"but we don't actually mean all of them" Words have meaning. All means all, and the attempt to backpedal it makes you look like a spineless coward.
"it's just venting" Your way to vent is to happily imagine genocide? That is what killing the entirety of a population for a trait would be, and while you could never do it, people who have those traits will see what you say and hold you to your hatred.
"they actually are dangerous or bad" No one is inherently bad for having a trait like birth or chosen gender, or skin color or whatever. A person's experiences shape who they are, and your hatred isn't going to help.
what about berserk fans
What TF has this thing done to you for murdering it's fans in any way reasonable? It's got a bit of a weird playstyle but it's a really fun OS to make a smashy build.
i meant fans of a manga that has a lot of sexual violence and rape, and a majority of the fans glorify that sexual violence and rape by making jokes about it. personally i dont think its wrong to think they gotta die. but the fact that the first thing named berserk was that thingamajig made me laugh i liked that
TW for mentions of rape, SA, and kidnapping all over this next reblog
Just because a piece of media has a lot of sexual violence and rape in it doesn't mean it's bad. I'm a big cyberpunk fan (That's what the little device is from) which is a very dark game with heavy themes of both. One of the main plotlines is about a lady who is kidnapped, raped, and then kills herself as well as another side plot about a serial killer who grooms young men with drug addictions, gets them to his farm and literally treats them like cattle. All these events are treated with the gravitas it deserves. As long as Berserk does the same, I don't mind it. I haven't read Berserk, so I don't know how it does it. As for the fans, I will agree making light of rape and sexual violence is disgusting but when I said "kill all" is a bad idea, I meant it. If only one person out of that amount can realize how wretched saying things like that are, turn it around, and do their penance, I can't say "kill all". I will admit this has a lot more moral leeway than say "kill all tme" and I cannot fault you for your views on it.
