i think that the best part of reading misvil for the first time was seeing all the subtle and not so subtle phoenix metaphors surrounding yue wuhuan and thinking oh yes they're there to show to the reader how he's going to rise from the ashes of his past and become ever greater and leave his old life behind yada yada and yeah spoiler no. no wuhuan is literally a fucking phoenix. there is no poetic allegory here bro is a literal phoenix god trapped in a bubble universe. okay.

Funniest misvil moment to me is actually that the celestial emperor promised yue wuhuan a shiny rock once he finished using it to fix a crack in hell like you're using tape to fix a leak, and then when he finishes using it yue wuhuan goes to get it and the emperor is like "i don't know how to tell you this, but the rock became alive and ascended" and yue wuhuan is like "what the fuck dude, my rock" so he goes to check on this rock that came alive and he sees this guy and decides it's okay that the rock came alive because he really wants to fuck him now
