"Well," Chris said. "You see the obvious solution here, right?" Eddie turned and shot Chris confused look. Buck just shrugged. Chris pushed the cutting board away and stood. He grabbed his crutches. "It's obvious, and I'm not surprised you're still not seeing it," Chris said with a put-upon sigh. "Buck, you just described your ideal relationship and it's exactly what's going on between you and Dad. All of it, and more. It's been going on for years!" Eddie glanced at Buck, then quickly turned his gaze back to his son. Chris sighed again and shook his head. "You just have to figure out if you're willing to take it a step further or if you'll stay platonically married for the rest of your lives, and probably run off any potential romantic partner who sees all of this--" he gestured between them "--and decides they can't compete."

Unexpected; teen; for the Friday prompt: Buck or Eddie is not a firefighter

Day 4 of @911buddieweek 2025:

Legal Paperwork; explicit; for all three Thursday prompts (marriage of convenience, practice kissing, "That sounds like a bad idea; I'm in")

I'm at 3/3 so far, so let's hope my luck continues and I'll manage to post something every day this week.

So far for the 2025 @911buddieweek I have on offer:

there when you open your eyes; rated teen; for the Monday prompt "sharing a bed": After Eddie and Christopher move back to L.A., Buck is on an urgent hunt for the perfect apartment, especially since the couch currently sitting in Eddie's living room is Buck's tiny fake leather couch and there is nowhere else for Buck to sleep now that Eddie is back in the main bedroom. The solution: they simply share the bed until Buck finds a place he likes. There is nothing that could go wrong with a newly bi guy and his (absolutely 100%) straight best friend sharing a bed - is there?

our lips are sealed (with a kiss); rated teen; for the Tuesday prompt "secret relationship": Buck is scared of a return of a season 2-esque Acting Captain Han if he and Eddie announce their new relationship at work, so he asks Eddie to keep quiet about it for a while. Just until they have proven that they can work together unchanged. Unfortunately, he didn't take into account just how sickeningly in love he and Eddie are, or how very much aware the rest of the team are of this.
