In 2016, over 75,000 mail-in ballots were left uncounted and discarded because they were received after mail-in voting deadlines, which all vary by state, according to CBS news.
Some states like California allow you to check with the Registrar of Voters on-line to verify both if a ballot has issued and if it was received to help prevent voting errors.
Remember, the most common forms of voter fraud are 1) gerrymandering, 2) voter suppression and 3) foreign participation through both lobbying and online misinformation.
OCTOBER 13. IT’S BEING DELIBERATELY SLOWED. OCTOBER 13.
Also know that in most states you can also drop it off either at a polling place or the county elections office too
The postal service is being deliberately slowed.
i’m not american but i’m still reblogging this
please please please everyone who can vote make sure you’re registered and check when your ballot needs to be in. they are deliberately slowing things down so be careful and cautious about this, play it safe.
ELECTION DAY IS OCTOBER 20 OCTOBER 13
OCTOBER 13 YA’LL

ruth bader ginsburg has died. call your senators and remind them over and over and over again of mitch mcconnell’s own rule to not replace supreme court justices in a presidential election year. call them as many times as it takes until they agree to not fill the seat until 2021. 202-224-3121
this this this. a phone call means so much more than an email. public representatives hate angry constituents, and they hate hearing from them in person. if you can, if you at ALL can, please call.
Dear non-Jewish friends, The Jewish High Holy Days are coming up. Please do not schedule meetings, parties, and events on the following dates:
Between Friday September 18th at sundown and Sunday September 20th at sundown in observance of Rosh Hashanah.
Between Sunday September 27th at sundown to Monday September 28th at sundown. in observance of Yom Kippur.
Between Friday, October 2nd at sundown and Sunday, October 4th at Sundown in honor of the first days of the Festival of Sukkot.
Between Friday, October 9th at sundown and October 11th at sundown in observance of the end of Sukkot, Shmini Atzeret, and Simchat Torah.
Curious how to greet your Jewish loved ones throughout these holidays and festival? (This is ESPECIALLY important this year because so many of us feel alone– wish your friends a happy holiday!) Hebrew and English variations are all appropriate.
“Shana Tova!” (”Happy New Year!”) – especially appropriate on Rosh Hashanah, but appropriate throughout the High Holy Day season.
“l’Shana Tova u’metuka!” (”Have a sweet and happy new year!”) Similar to the above, especially appropriate on Rosh Hashanah, but appropriate throughout the High Holy Day season.
“Chag Sameach” (“Happy Holiday”) – appropriate on Rosh Hashanah, Sukkot, and Simchat Torah
“Have a Meaningful Day” – appropriate for Yom Kippur
“Have an easy/meaningful fast” – appropriate for Yom Kippur, but only if you know that the person is choosing to fast this year. O
Please reblog if you can- my original post had a typo in it!

The Sound of Music (1965)
Magical encounter while free falling.
Can you imagine being that bird? You see a big falling dot off in the distance, so you go to investigate. And it’s a human. Just, like, hanging out, in the middle of the sky. Plumbing toward earth at terminal velocity.
“Huh, that’s weird” you think to yourself.
You land on them. They seem nonplussed by their predicament.
But you’re a busy bird, you’ve got places to be. So you just fly off. Good luck, crazy human. Hope you make it.
“Oh, hey, I guess they can fly. I did not know that.”

Just because you “support” a marginalized group doesn’t mean you can’t be bigoted against them. Acting like racism, homophobia, misogyny, or any other “ism” or “phobia” is only about “hatred” is outrageously naive. You can say “transgender women are women” and still be incredibly transmisogynistic. You can say “black lives matter” and still be antiblack. You can say “bisexuality is valid” and still hold biphobic beliefs.
You don’t get to say “I’m not [X]-ist or [Y]-phobic, I respect X and Y people!” You don’t get to argue with hurt people that you aren’t hurting them. “Respect” is not enough. You need to actually listen to us when we speak about our experiences. Work towards unlearning the stereotypes and ingrained beliefs you’ve been taught about us. Hold accountability when you mess up. It needs to be a conscious effort, not just lip service “solidarity.”
