the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.

I think a lot of people have trouble understanding transgender issues because they try to see themselves as trans, but come at it from the wrong direction. e. g. a cis woman tries to understand transness by going, “what if I felt like/wanted to be a man” when she should be approaching it as “what if I, a woman, was so easily mistaken for a man that I had to pretend to be one”,
And I think this is something to keep in mind and to explain away when trying to get these matters across to people who’re new to the idea.

There's a disconnect happening here because the primary function of social media for most casual users is to form a circle of friends around the usual things that friendships are built on: shared interests and lifestyles and ideas of what is important and what is unacceptable. When people are mainly doing leftism on social media, this encourages thinking of leftism as centered around establishing high-minded social clubs.
For anyone who still isn't getting it from someone who helps people IRL: There's a difference between whom you're helping to feed at the mealshare and whom you're choosing to hang out with for fun after the mealshare. You don't have to invite a hungry person with opinions you don't like to play board games with you, but you do have to help keep them from starving if you're serious about leftist organizing.

The largest source of Microplastics is wear and tear on automobile tires. It doesn’t matter what brand of shampoo you buy. It doesn’t matter which company you support with your dollar. The issue of Public Transit is too large-scale to be handled at anything less than the municipal level.

That being said, I do prefer Damon to Nik. Klaus is brooding and sulking and destructive of everything around him and all of the grace given to him, even more so than Damon can be. Damon is awful a lot of the time, but can be charming, and funny, and outgoing, the life of the party. A classic Hollywood heartthrob type. Even if Klaus can also be those things (people loved partying with him apparently), he’s so much more strange, and awkward at times, too caught up in his own head and his own tragedies suffered and slights endured (real or perceived) that I can’t see his life being nearly as fun or half as enjoyable as Damon’s. His only joys, temporary as they are, come from cruelty (not even consistently) or the moments in which everyone around him choose to ignore all that he’s done to them, though it’s still bubbling under the surface. He just lives in facades or negotiated “safe” moments when his ego and fears are satisfied, whereas Damon, a hedonist first and foremost, finds joy in the mundane (partying, flirting, luxuries) and the supernatural powers he possesses.
What is the point of being so miserable and causing so much chaos if you’re not even going to get some thrills out of it?

Possibly my spiciest take is that it's actually good to have people you respect and like that have some dogshit takes.
