i wish i knew how to quit you

If you like my rambling, keep reading.

My wife got us a Wacom set a few months ago and I was like "nice, maybe I can try to make my own digital art!" but it never happened - you know, life getting in the way and all that. Today I was supposed to work but it's a fucking SUNDAY and it's GOD'S DAY and my wife was out doing her thing (she sings, she's in a rock band, she's so cool) and I was like you know what. I'll do something for myself today.

Usually, I write. But writing requires too much mental work for me and lately I've been wanting/needing to do something more creatively loose. You know, use the other half of my brain for a change.

So I dusted off the Wacom set and was like "okay, I've never drawn anything other than stick figures, so I'll start with heads." I opened Krita (the internet told me it was a nice, free software to start), picked a reference from Pinterest and drew this shit:

I saved it as "heads" and was like ok I can go on with my day now.

But then I started playing with the brushes, learning how to use the tools and ta-daaa! Roger was born.

I feel a bit stupid for sharing all this crap but I'm also SO NOT CARING 😭

on this picture i drew Alexandr Andreevich Alexandrov - cavalry officer of the russian imperial army that participated in napoleonic wars. people persistently keep on misgendering mispronounsing deadnaming and calling him a crossdresser although alexandrov clearly stated that he didn't want to be called by his deadname and being treated like anything but a man. that's an interesting historical figure and i wanted to draw attention to his person. i can't tell everything about him in only one post so i recomend you to read about alexandrov by yourself
