Saying the nation had enjoyed a perfectly adequate amount of dribbling, passing, and loud chanting, a new report published Tuesday confirmed that was enough soccer for now. “Welp, that was fun, but we’ve got our fill,” the report read in part, adding that after a couple weeks of watching men from places like Italy, Bulgaria, or wherever kick the ball back and forth, Americans were ready to thank everyone involved and move on to something else.

One of the best letters I’ve ever seen just popped up on my Facebook memories. Still makes me laugh.
As today is the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, it’s a great time to revisit Dinah from Devon’s memory of this historic event. And yes, still makes me laugh.
Today is the 54th anniversary of the moon landing, but Dinah’s diary entry is still absolutely magnificent.
57th anniversary of the moon landing and the best diary entry in the history of diary entries. Sit down Samuel Pepys, it’s over. UGH.

How it Should End - Avengers Doomsday Edition
Scene: Dr. Doom stands triumphant over the battered bodies of the various heroes, monologuing about his immenent victory.
Unnoticed, a glowing portal opens behind him.
Enter Loki, who jabs him with a TVA castle prod, announcing "Mblergh, it's me!"
Dr. Doom disappears to be eaten off screen by a partly sentient cloud.
The sun shines again on the Odinsons.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Her.
Elizabeth's Bridal Dress, GDT's Frankenstein. Costume design by Kate Hawley. At the "Crafting a Tale Eternal" exhibit in Los Angeles.
I saw these tags (below) and I need to rant!
hhighheelss: #since the bodice layers look like a ribcage it looks like you can see into her body/viscera when soaked in blood
A detail I unfortunately could not get a picture of, but folks at the UK showing did is the back of her dress - like many of her dresses in the film has visible grommets all the way down TO IMITATE HER SPINE!
Picture via this FB post (dress pictured is the unstained version of her gown)
But in the stained version, this is the detail I'm OBSESSED WITH concerning the blood: they clearly died the gown underneath with blood before adding on the top silk organza layer:
So it looks like it was actually stained from her blood pouring out through her body, versus being just added on top of the gown. If they'd dyed the whole gown, the organza would be stained red all the way through, but you can see, especially in the pleats and drapes, that it retains that pure whiteness. So it continues to work as a gauzy top layer obscuring the blood. You are seeing THROUGH something.
UGH. I'M OBSESSED. Kate Hawley & team, you did incredible work!

Need some Bamf power 😋
Can't stop thinking about how the only times we've seen Armand lose control over his facial expression is when he is being rejected, and how he tries to force a smile each time 😭😭
gifs from @userarmand x x
Just remembered he does this here too.
When in acute distress, Armand will smile a pained, mirthless smile.
Oh Armand, you're so loved.
