theyre racialized too . susie is specifically black , kris is more up to interpretation but theyre very obviously a transracial kid ( in a fantasy way where theyre literally a different species , but you should always double up on this by making them not white ! ) , ralsei is one i need to think on . i definitely dont think ralsei is white but i think because of all the other shit going on w her theres almost definitely a disconnect if that makes sense ? i see a lot of alt designs where like . the longer fur and ears and stuff are white , but the shorter fur is black if that makes sense ? usually when the design is meant to indicate black ralsei cus of ancient black-coded furry truths and shit . literal Black Sheep ( / goat ) . anyway i think of these designs with ralseis ch1 design and howthe inversion turns into ralseis white fur being more visible in ch1 , and at the end she reveals her face by taking the hat off . im getting wrose at speaking by teh second but you get what i am getting at ... ralsei at her core is someone who disguises parts of herself to be more palatable and likeable and to take on a more ' neutral ' state . and i think this would extend to race though obviously this takes on a different form to pretending you are not trnasgender . downplaying a cultural background or connection to racial identity as to not bring the mood down or some shit and then being more open about it after being close friends w two nonwhite kids who have like very strong feelings on their own identities . but im a white tme so sorry if any of this post is evil , just #mythouhts

Honestly it boils down to reparenting yourself & rewiring your own neuronal pathways & telling yourself a firm “stop” when you notice your mind slipping down negative loopholes & being present in the moment & enjoying being mid task rather than waiting for it to end & not thinking of inertia as your baseline and natural way of living

So tempting to keep embarking on the same self destructive cycle over & over & over again . But at some point you have to put ur foot down w ur own behaviors & be the thing that truly saves u

So can non-disabled people stop doing that thing where they act like it’s morally righteous to force yourself to work while you’re sick and assume taking sick days automatically equates to laziness. Any time now. That’d be great

The leader of the scout group I help out at approached me out of hours while I was walking to work to tell me that people have been talking behind my back because I missed more sessions than I attended this term (on account of having Covid twice) and was like “We all show up when we’re sick because we take responsibility” and I felt really shitty and guilty and cried the whole workday then I got home and told my mum and she was like “So they want you to throw up on the kids? That’s dodgy. They don’t even pay you. Stop going” and a wave of serenity hit me like a bus
