Do not accept genocide ; remember Palestine
It is truly perverse that any of us sit here deciding which people at the brink of death deserve our support. I have not responded to many of the messages I've received, and I'm deeply ashamed of this--to any of you reading who have asked me for help and been ignored, I can't ask for your forgiveness, but please know I see you and will do my best to remember you and put your words forward how I can.
I am ashamed every time I hear the kind words Palestinians continue to offer us for actions that are not enough, knowing that we hold the power over their lives. Knowing already how many people we have failed, if you can offer a donation to any of these campaigns, please let that be your refusal to accept the cruelty of this world. Reach out to a person who needs you to survive and touch them in some small way.
Please think about how much you may be able to offer, on a one-time or monthly basis, to any of these campaigns (even 5 or 10 dollars can show they're not alone and encourage others to do the same). For sustainability, I recommend setting a budget each month of what you can give, and then distributing that amongst as many campaigns as possible: for example, if you can give 50 dollars a month, give 10 dollars to 5 campaigns, or 25 dollars to 2. Chuffed makes it easier for you to do this in automatic payments, as well.
Hazem's family, with 8 people, grieving a lost father, and one member battling bipolar disorder amidst already horrific circumstances
Hashem and Samar, displaced five times with a child born in the genocide, also supporting a large family
Enas, a mother who lost her husband and is now struggling for her life and that of three children
Hanan, a child psychologist who can't heal others until she and her own child can be safe
Lama and Mohammed, a married couple with their house in rubble, in a tent and needing medicine
Ishaq and Rabab, another couple expecting their seventh child, having lost their parents and their home
The truth is, until there is a full arms embargo on the Zionist entity and its aggressions are halted by pressure and force, our donations alone can't stop this holocaust. But just as it was during the four years of death that it took to finally achieve liberation from the Nazis, everything we do to save lives until liberation comes matters just as much. And while we are organizing and putting pressure on our own evil governments we should never forget the people we're fighting for, who deserve to simply rest without the sound of drones. May it be soon, may these families be protected + glory to the martyrs
