Oh Bruce grieved Jason! Oh Bruce loved Jason! Oh Bruce was fundamentally changed by Jason’s death! He was a good Dad!
Do you think grief and love can not be yielded from abusers? How easy it would be to walk away if that were the case. If only abusers were all bad people. If only all good fathers were never abusers.
Love doesn’t absolve abuse.
"Bruce isn't in any way responsible for Jason's death!! How could you say that!" Personally I think leaving a kid you openly suspect to be suicidal, who you watched jump in front of a bullet like a day prior, alone with a perfect stranger without any sort of background check or DNA test or anything while a known seriel killer and terrorist is on the loose is child neglect at the minimum but maybe I just give a shit about child safety idk
I’m like 99% sure the Gotham Elite’s social customs are fucked up because Autism-in-Human-Form Bruce Wayne was just so fucking tired of high society’s weird and incomprehensible (and frankly ableist) social etiquette that he went full Virgin Mary About-to-Invent-a-Major-World-Religion, said “oh haven’t you heard?” and just started making his own random social rules. Like who’s going to stop him? The other elites? The dinosaur CEO’s? He’s richer. He hosts the better parties. He could tank your business in a weekend. So when he says “Weird passive aggressive fork language is out. Having a different utensil for every different food texture is in,” you use a different utensil for every food texture. Now when foreign elites visit Gotham, they have to learn a completely new set of social customs to fit in. It’s like a cult, but the cult is run by the most influential man in the world and Gotham’s personal Jesus. The followers are more likely than not mafia bosses named after a bird. You will be judged. There’s a test. Yes, you do get brownie points for being nice to the servers. For the love of god, stop making so much eye contact. The cloth napkins are folded into little ducks. Welcome to Gotham.
moral disagreement on when its acceptable to kill aside, its the way bruce deemed the joker more worthy of redemption and second chances than jason. i know that absolutely wasnt intentional on bruces part, but by choosing neither and therefore in a roundabout way choosing the joker, it feels like he saw the joker as the victim of that situation and he saw the joker as more likely to be redeemable in comparison so he prioritized saving him over jason uughhhh

The pervading concept that Bruce is "letting" Jason operate or holding back on him at all is so funny to me. How do you come to this conclusion. He has killed Jason visibly on panel multiple times. Like more than the Joker. There is no evidence to support Bruce LETTING Jason have or do anything. Every inch Jason takes is clawed from Bruce's white knuckled grip. Jason didn't luck his way into running Gothams underground, he's a tactical genius who played Bruce like a fucking fiddle using an updated version of Bruce's own plan and methods because Jason is competent and intelligent. The only reason Bruce wasn't blown up in his car is because Jason misses his dad. The only leverage he has to control Jason is Jason's desperate desire to be loved. Which he has used at least 3 times in recent memory to harm or kill Jason actually!!
WAIT YOU DID THE CUTE ASS CATSON TODD I LOVE AND THE SELKIE JASON ART I LOVE I OWE YOU MY FIRST BORN CHILD OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!
I love you :D
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE IN THE FANDOM 🫡🫡
just doing my duty as a Jason fan 🫡
Adding on to an old point I’ve made about the victimhood complex the fandom has made for Tim- is that- outside of the obvious that I’ve already stated before that death does not diminish tragedy- in fact death is the driving factor in most historical tragedies- and that the victimhood of someone who’s died shouldn’t have to rely on whether they survived or not- and it does not matter if they “asked for it” because #1 that normalises the concept that a perpetrator’s responsibility is dependent on whether a victim lended them an opportunity or not- and if the victim did then it isn’t the perps fault for grabbing it. and #2 he quite literally did not ask for it- and to believe that would be equivalent to the absurd claim that “a victim of suicide shouldn’t be pitied because they chose to kill themselves”- Tim being being “forced” (I’ve already dismantled this argument the last post I’ve made on this topic) to be “better” than Jason- even- even if that’s what the comics hinted at (which it isn’t.) he still wouldn’t be the central victim of Jason’s death- it’s like watching someone else fall and then being scared yourself of falling- does that make you the victim of my fall??- sure Tim might’ve been affected by it- and some may be able to successfully argue that his life was changed by Jason’s death but Jason is the one who died- the death ended Jason’s life. And I’m not here to argue for if experiencing death has the same effect as actually fucking dying- because it should be obvious and if it isn’t your world view on humanity is grotesque.
Tim’s fear is real, Tim’s anxiety is real I’m not here to diminish the struggle Tim had to face but none. None of it makes Jason’s death about him. Insecurity doesn’t carry the same weight of being functionally erased- yes. Because Bruce’s erasure of Jason’s existence (from the covering up of his death, to essentially trying to erase the fact that Jason’s ever existed for his own grief IS another layer of Jason’s victimhood. His tragedy didn’t end the day he stopped breathing- which is why I fundamentally disagree that someone’s humanity ends the day that they die- they are still human even in death and disrespecting the dead holds the same weight as disrespecting the living (a point I can’t believe is contested against)) Jason even in the rubrics you people are operating under “beats” Tim at his own game- Tim just (subconsciously) thinks he is replaceable Jason was genuinely replace then his life was scrubbed away by a man he genuinely loved.
When you’re making this argument you’re #1 removing the accountability of joker’s actions- #2 removing Jason’s humanity (which we all know leads to what in this fandom) #3 perpetuating the idea that victims need to earn empathy for their tragedy- (ie, act the way society expects victims to act, lie down and let a system that’s unfavourable to you in the first place seek the justice you are owed) and #4 (subconsciously or not) equating the distress of a rich kid and ranking it over the death of a poor one. This entire argument is disgustingly dehumanising for Jason- especially since the central argument is that “since Jason’s dead we need to look for an ACTUAL victim.”
The entire reason this argument even has to be had is because one side is “my favourite character (I don’t think the fact he’s wealthy is a coincidence but that’ll make me “too woke”) should have the cultural right to place himself as the central victim of a death that is born of a critique of systems (even unintentionally)” and the other is “dude. What the fuck.”
Fake Human au
Au where the ghosts leave the ghost Zone and get fake human bodies. When the ghosts leave the Ghost Zone they get a temporary human body that can only sustain them for one to three days. This means that Danny looks like he's just beating up random people. I definitely want there to be an assumption that Danny is in some sort of gang or Mafia dealings. especially when he's more powerful and maybe a ghost King which means all these people are listening to him.
Outside looking at Danny his grades drop and he starts getting into fights. especially because I imagine Danny doesn't have a ghost form in the human world. I think he still has a ghost form but only in the ghost zone. Danny looks like he is regularly skipping class to get into fights with random people. It can be anywhere to people who look like bikers or skinny nerds but it looks like he's fighting them.Â
Danny is seen as very powerful because he can be in the human world wherever he wants while other ghosts have to take time in between trips. Danny can skip between the Realms at any point especially because he has the portal in his literal home. The main reason for this post is the fact that it looks like Danny is Raising in the ranks of some sort of gang if you have no idea about the ghost and I think that's funny.
They gotta start paying him to use the portal.
YES!!
Tolls! XD
He might pity them about going back to the Zone, just because everyone but him seems to be in genuine health danger if they don't. But to come to the Humans? NOPE.
TOLL.
Pay Me Bitches!
XD
All the mischief the ghosts get up to doesn't help his apparent deliquency-- either he gets blamed or it looks like turf/rep feuds.
How many of the Ghosts find out about this and start claiming to be part of Danny's gang, or a rival one, making it worse? How many are Making It Worse On Purpose vs accidentally?
XD
3 times Amity Park sees "proof" that Danny is in a gang
...
Dash
Math is always boring, and it's not like he needs the best grades as long as he keeps winning games for the football team.
Dash looks out the window, as a man is walking across the grass in front of Casper High. He hears an ear splitting noise as someone getting up from their desk shoves it to the side.
The twirp stands up in the middle of class, and heads for the window. He jumps out and starts yelling at this random dude Dash has never seen.
"Nope, no. I didn't say you could be here."
The person looks at Danny like they got caught cheating on a test, "How'd you even know it was me?"
"I'm not an idiot, you can change your face all you want, Boxy, I'll always recognize you. Now pay up or leave."
The man doesn't hesitate to swing. Danny darts forwards and uppercuts the guy. He crumbles.
Which... Dash wasn't expecting. Really he wasn't expecting any of what just happened, but the well landed uppercut is definitely on the top of that list.
He'd heard rumors that Fentino had joined a gang. He just assumed that they were just rumors.
The nerd (he may have to switch to a new insulting nickname) rumages in the man's pockets, pulls out a hand full of something shiny, Paulina whispers something about a weirdo that only carries coins, then he stands and looks at the maybe unconscious body on the ground.
Then Fentino, once scrawny little nerd Fenton, PICKS UP this grown man, swings him over his shoulder and drops him behind some bushes, before coming back into the classroom and sitting back at his desk.
He isn't even sweating.
Dash will be rethinking every fight he's ever won with the twerp. Which up till now had been all of them...
...
Mr. (William) Lancer
On his days off Will likes to walk the various small shops in town, his usual stops being the bookstore, followed by the only café that sells Earl Grey lattes, and finally if he feels like splurging; going to Sockratés. A sock store with a pun name he can really rally behind.
It's while he's leaving the café and on his way to peruse the new socks in stock that he spots young Mr. Fenton.
He knows his students don't always like seeing teachers outside of school, but this one in particular has been getting into some trouble recently. So to help 'inspire the youth towards a life of academia' he makes his way to the boy.
Mr. Fenton unexpectedly stops short and looks down an alley only a few feet infront of Will.
He pushes up his sleeves and stalks briskly into the alley.
Just as he turns the corner Will sees why the boy walked in. A young man in a leather jacket sitting up against his bike and a girl in fish net stockings and green hair is leaning up against the young man.
"Jhonny, Kitty. You're not causing trouble, are you?" Ah, maybe Will had nothing to worry about, Mr. Fenton is just-
"Nah, boss. We paid your stupid price, we're just hanging around town."
Jiminy Cricket, has Mr. Fenton raised the ranks that quickly?! Or, and Will isn't sure which is better, have they all been blind to how long he's actually been part of these gangs?
"Good, I'll be keeping an eye on you." Young Mr. Fenton, much to young to be saying a phrase right out of an Agatha Christie novel, looks over to the girl. "Hey Kitty, you think you can keep a leash on shadow?"
"Hey!" The biker gets up, clearly angry. "I'm the one who calls the shots with Shadow."
Mr. Fenton doesn't even glance over at him. "Sure boss. I'll promise to watch em' both." The girl says, she looks over at Will and winks at him.
He straightens and walks away from the alley he's glad he never actually walked into. He'll need to update the other faculty members that the boy is in a much worse position than they expected him to be.
...
Star
Paulina and her were in the stands for their boyfriends football practice. The team had just finished and are in the locker rooms washing up before their double date at Nasty Burger.
Paulina is the one that spots the nerd trio first. Danny, Sam, and the kid with a PDA are walking onto the field.
The two of them watch as from across the bleachers the mayor appears.
What the hell is the mayor doing here after class hours.
Everyone kinda knows the mayor and Danny have beef, showing up out of no where seems weird.
Paulina pulls her down behind the seats slowly, hoping the CHS banner is blocking them both they watch. They are too far away to hear them speaking and despite being amazing at lip reading the only one facing them is Mr. Masters, and his face is too tense to make any sense of what he's saying.
The mayor sighs, he looks as angry as her dad gets when the green bay packers lose.
Then he pulls out a wad of cash and hands it to Danny.
Paulina and Star look at each other in shock, is the mayor paying Danny hush money? If he is, what does Danny have over the damn mayor that would warrant such a huge chunk of cash.
They look back as Danny is splitting the money. He pockets half, then splits the rest between Sam and PDA boy.
That must mean he really is the king pin in all this, if the mayor is involved.
...
Notes:
Had to dumb down Dash's POV. Didn't think he used the word incredulous. I'm a nerd at heard, Mr. Lancer's POV is more like my actual style.
And for that last bit. The other 1/4th of the money is for Jazz. She won't take it, but he can slowly add it to her savings account like he has been with the other cash he's been getting from the ghosts.
I love this.
Someday Walker shows up withsome of his men. All looking like police officers.
He threatens Danny a bit but considering that Danny is able to keep the others more or less in line Walker lets him go free.
For now.
---
Meanwhile Kwan heard the whole conversation from behind a window.
The Wes join in as The information guy. He knows rumor, connecting things and know something he shouldn’t know
So in other people eyes, they are witnessing the raise of a new family mafia
Danny: The King pin
Jazz: Second rank in gang, his sister and master mind
Mason and Tuck: his right hand commanders
Val: his girlfriend, also the gun man in their group. She always armed
Wes: New addition. He know thing that no one know and thing that no one shouldn’t know
Then, The Justice League Dark summons Danny for one reason or another.
Amity Park then sees Danny negotiating with the JL.

Dc x Dp
So there’s this series on Tik-Tok the I love to watch by @ThePandaRedd its called “LORD DEATH MAN”
now for those of you who don’t know lord death man is an actual DC villain who’s only superpower is that he can’t die and that he is a master of yoga and know every single Pokémon and their eveolved forms. And this villain claims to be Batman’s greatest nemesis.
Seriously go watch the series it’s so incredibly dumb and hilarious. Now without further ado.
———————————————
It was supposed to be a quiet night, all the rogues where in Arkham, all his kids were behaving for once, and he doesn’t have any paperwork for one.
Red Hood over the com link: Hey B I’m coming in hot.
why did he open his mouth.
Red Hood drove into the Bat Cave. Once stopped he dismounts from his bike then reaches into the hidden compartment an pulls out a black trash bag
Red Hood: got a present for you B
Batman: What’s in the bag hood?
Red Hood: An old friend of yours.
Red hood opens the bag and in it Bruce sees a familiar skull
Lord death man: Tis I Lord Death Man Batman’s greatest Nemesis, for you can not defeat me for I am deathless.
quickly Jason seals the bag again.
Batman:…How?
Red Hood: He was trying to steal flower bouquets, and chocolate for is quote un-quote date with Damian’s grandmother.
Batman pinching the bridge of his nose: Why
Red Hood: Damian got to him first.
Batman: Hmm.
Red Hood: Anyways I brought him here because I think I know some one who can help with Skeletor here.
Batman: By all means.
Setting down the bag Jason pulls out a piece of paper from his inside jacket pocket. He pricks his finger with one of his many knives and smears the blood on the paper then sets the pieces of parchment onto the floor.
Batman: Hood what are yo-
Red Hood: Give it a second old man
the Paper starts to glow green and from it a green swirling vortex erupts. And out steps a young man about age 19 with black hair and blue eyes.
Batman: Hood!
Red Hood: Relax this is Danny he’s a friend.
Danny m: Sup, anyways what’d you call me for Red
Red hood: Well you see there’s this guy That I was hoping you could use your brand of crazy on.
Jason says pointing to a black trash bag
Danny: Hood for the last time I can’t bring people back from the dead!
Red Hood: that’s not why I called you, quite the opposite in fact.
Danny: wha- * looks inside the bag* YOU!
Lord Death Man: You can not confine me for I am a master of yoga.
Red Hood: So can you do anything?
Danny with slightly inhuman features: DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY GODS HAVE BEEN ON MY ASS BECAUSE OF HIM!!!!!!
Danny: The only reason he can’t die is because the last Ghost King made him immortal so he wouldn’t have to deal with him!
Red Hood and Batman look at each other than back at Danny
Red Hood: So does that mean you can take away him immortality?
Danny: Not unless you want him to drop dead the moment I do. The man has a skull for a head!
Danny: and even if you did want him dead, he would come back as a ghost and be an even bigger pain in the ass!
Jason: So then how do we solve the problem that is the talking pile of ground beef.
Lord death man: You can not kill me for not even god could take me for I AM-
everyone: SHUT UP!!!
Jason: Again! How do we get rid of him Danny?
Danny: I would bring him to, what is essentially ghost court for him to be jailed, sealed, or have his soul lit ablaze forever living in anguish until his soul is gone and ceases to exist.
Danny: If not for tHE FACT HE ESCAPED 5 TIMES ALREADY!
Danny now looking like the embodiment of cosmic horror.
Jason: why don’t you calm down bud, is there anything we can do to get this guy where he needs to go?
Batman: tell me again how you met?
Danny taking a deep breath: your right, your right. I just need to keep him in the ghost zone long enough to sentence him.
Jason: What if we chop him up into pieces. And put those pieces into separate locked containers?
Danny & Batman:….
Danny: …
Danny: That was extremely morbid but that could work.
Tim stepping into the cave to start working on repots: Hey Bruce, jason, why is there and empty bag in the center of the cave?
Danny, Bruce, and Jason whip around to see that the bag that previously held lord death man now lays empty.
Danny: SON OF A-!!!!!
Lord Death Man already running down the exit tunnels: UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN!!
I keep thinking about Clockwork appearing in Amity Park in some horrific eldritch form with clocks or something to symbolize his power over time, and Danny (as Phantom) goes up to him all happy and smiling. Amity Park, at least the ghost hunters, are collectively like “Holy sh!t, is that his dad?! Have we been hunting this guy’s kid?!” and are already dreading the consequences of what would happen if they shot Phantom in front of whatever that thing is.
And yes, he was there to pick him up so he could take him to the ghost zone for some lessons on whatever.
Bonus points if Danny also goes space eldritch when he goes up to him, but is still much smaller than Clockwork.
This one’s for the tumblrinas
matcha originated in China about 1200 years ago, açaà has been consumed by Indigenous communities in the Amazon for centuries, and Dubai chocolate was invented by combining chocolate with knafeh, an 1100 year old SWANA snack.
western (usually white but seemingly not in this case) people love to call nonwhite foods suddenly becoming popular in western mainstream culture "industry plants" as if they haven't always existed.
this is orientalism.

People really out here acting like global warming is still an “in the future” problem when people are overheating to death by the thousands right now.
I feel like simply calling JK Rowling a transphobe isn't strong enough anymore. Like. This is not your grandpa calling you by your deadname at a restaurant kind of transphobic. This is her wanting to eradicate all trans people (with an extra special hatred towards trans women specifically). This is her trying just that by personally funding transphobic hate groups with millions to push around laws in the UK. It is not hyperbolic to call her a dangerous, genocidal maniac.
It's not about cancelling a problematic writer. It's about literally trying to save lives by denying her as much money and power as possible.
