Rhys/Sabi

2. How do they go about solving arguments and what do they usually argue about?

They play a constant pingpong game of accusing the other of not taking care of themselves. These arguments are enrichment, don't worry about it. More serious arguments would probably be over things like Sabriel's clutter (she has an organization system but she has so much STUFF and Rhys has very little Stuff so it stresses him out) or Rhys's inability to tell people no when they ask him for things (did your sister REALLY need to borrow your knife or are you just incapable of telling her no ever?). They definitely also have Only Child vs. Eldest Sibling arguments over space, sharing and communication skills. Rhys is lucky Sabi was raised to be infuriatingly polite so she doesn't pitch fits when people touch Her Stuff.

Rhys learned pretty early on that Sabriel does NOT like it when people raise their voices at her, and luckily he's not really prone to yelling unless he's REALLY upset, so they're usually able to avoid total meltdowns. They usually just need to talk things through and take turns presenting their side of the communication breakdown. Sabriel is prone to taking too much blame, and Rhys is good at shutting that down in a kind way. Rhys, alternatively, is prone to focusing too much on the other person and Sabriel will needle him to express himself more clearly. It probably seems a bit lawyerly, but it works for them.

15. What do they do to make each other laugh? Doesn't have to be on purpose either.

Rhys is a brat and he always gets really amused when Sabriel gets flustered and scurries away from situations. He'll bait her sometimes, but even just watching her interact with other people it happens. Emmrich praises her and she gets overwhelmed and just flees? He's cracking up. She's adorable. He also thinks it's really funny when she lands on a topic she actually has a strong opinion about and gets carried away ranting about it.

Sabriel, for better or worse, thinks Rhys's corny sense of humor is perfect. She loves stupid puns and his flippant way of discussing things. She also laughs (in a sort of relieved way) every time she sees him try something and flubs it. He's got a good sense of humor about failure, which helps, but she sometimes puts him on a pedestal and it's a good reminder that he's just a person too. (and if he sometimes flubs things in an overdramatic way to make her laugh and get her to explain it to him? Mind your own business.)

40. What symbols do you associate with your OTP and why?

MAN these two are definitely two dogs, one light and one dark. They're also a hearth that's being used to cook, a plant under a sun lamp, cinnamon and cardamom,and a big cozy fleece blanket.

Callie/Davrin

15. What do they do to make each other laugh? Doesn't have to be on purpose either.

Callie 100% plays up her dramatics to an extreme degree to get Davrin to roll his eyes at her. She knows he thinks it's funny. He can't lie to her. She'll describe things in super overblown language, flop over dramatically, call people silly names, whatever she has to in order to get him to crack a smile. It's not as hard as he wants it to be.

Davrin's antics with Assan never fail to make Callie laugh. He's not trying to make her laugh most of the time, but Assan is such a little scamp and Callie likes anything that breaks through Davrin's attempted dour facade. He tries so hard to be a stern, stoic warrior and Callie loves anything that brings him back down to earth.

20. What is a secret that only their partner knows?

For Callie, it's how much Davrin actually likes to sing. She likely never told anyone else about what Eldrin told her, and she doesn't goad him to sing in public. It's a little detail she likes to hold close to her heart, and it's always really special to her when he'll sing along with her when she's practicing with her lyre.
