So the last thing I drew actually was a god-awful "sketch" of a format I might want to make something in for Lords weekend so I will uh. spare y'all that abomination
But writing! I'm back in "I have no idea what idea I'm sticking to" Land so here have a couple lines of Sabriel backstory fic that I wrote like 400 words of today:
Baz took a step toward the alcove, bringing himself lower to the ground. "You can come out, da'len. We're not going to hurt you." Before Heinrich could object that no one could fit in the space between the wall and that urn, he had to swallow his words. Peeking out from the shadows was a pair of bright pink eyes, hidden behind a mop of curly brown hair. A child. The wisps had been trying to alert them to a child.
I'm tempted to name this one "Heinrich Van Markham's Really Bad Incredibly Stupid Life Choice"

I'm starting with Making Friends (Via Spite) because it was how I started my Companion Sabi AU works, which gives it a special place in my heart. It was how I really started to develop Sabriel as a character outside of being Rook, and I learned a lot while working on it. (Though I'd still like to rewrite the Inner Demons portion one day)
Desperation. This one came about because I wanted to write something about Sabriel that didn't involve the other VG characters. I wanted to figure out what she would be like when she took on something by herself, and how she could accidentally jump in too deep.
Homesick, which was my piece for the writing workshop way back when. It's one of the only explicitly Rookanis things I've ever written but I'm really proud of how that last heart-to-heart turned out.
But What Comes After?, my first dip into Davrook! I'm still a little on the fence about writing Davrin, but he's very fun to bounce Callie's high energy off of! I want to use this as a springboard to develop their habit of sparring-as-argument.
And last but certainly not least, A Pie for Lace Harding, my little baby fic that really got me started. It wasn't the first one I wrote but it was the first that was really focused on me learning how to write the canon characters. And it's very silly and I do like writing silly things. I'd probably write it differently now, but I don't want to edit it!!
