34. who is more likely to pay for dinner?

OK. I think Neve and Ember are That Duo™️ (I say duo because I do this with my friends all the time lmao) at restaurants that will play Take-My-Card-Quick-Draw and all but dive for the check to get there first 😂

Well, Ember is using her rogue skills and sleight of hand and diving for the check. Neve probably spoke to whoever she knew their waiter would be (very normal behavior, to scope out the restaurant you’re going to with your girlfriend that night smh) ahead of time and paid them upfront lmao.

40. who cusses more?

I’ll give a slight edge to Neve for frequency. She swears often, about things big and small (after all, she is the one who accidentally taught Manfred “Venhedis” lmao).

However, Ember is more creative in her profanity. She picked up quite a few sayings from her fellow gladiators – in a range of languages. So it’s not uncommon for her to string those together and swear like a sailor when she’s frustrated (e.g., trying to build the equivalent of Thedas’ IKEA furniture. Or dealing with one of the more snooty magisters.)

41. what would they do if the other one was hurt?

Ooooh this is a juicy question! 👀

In the moment? Oh, Ember is going to be fighting like a wildcat to get to Neve, push enemies back, draw their attention, etc. She may not be a traditional tank, but Ember is a frontline fighter and she’s going to put herself and her two dinky swords in front of whatever danger is targeting her loved ones.

I think it’s one of the few scenarios where you will see Ember’s viciousness kick in. She’s going to have that stab of fear at seeing Neve in danger on the battlefield and bypass that sense of panic by going straight to her gladiator (and, tbh, living weapon) training 🙂‍↕️ In part, because I do think she would have been trained from a young age to protect the (Venatori) mages at any cost as a sort of last-resort bodyguard.

Anyways, I’mma be honest with you – I think Ember is going to Hover™️after Neve gets hurt 😅 And it’s going to piss Neve off so much because she’s fine and Ember is being overprotective and, frankly, smothering. They will argue about it lmao. And Ember is gonna have to learn to give Neve some more space (and she will, even if she’s huffy about it at first).

I do think Ember’s “stick-around-ness” will at least encourage Neve to actually take her pain meds or whatever else a bit more than she would if she was on her own. So, there’s that. Mostly, Ember is going to have to learn how to actually ask Neve what would be helpful (while Neve will have to practice answering that honestly 🙄) and doing that even if she wants to do it all.

On the flip side, I’d say Neve is going to go on the defensive in battle and be using all sorts of shields and spells to gain distance and get an injured Ember tf out of there. If her magic is a little more fierce and uncontrolled, or there’s a small tremor in her hands or voice, well you didn’t see anything.

^ Neve can always just hit Ember with a 🥺 if she needs to get Ember to cooperate with whatever Quillon's orders were to heal up lmao this Look has got a 100% success rate and they both know it

She’s a lot better at giving the impression of space while providing care, at least.  Small things to help without looking like she’s helping. But she is keeping a watchful eye on Ember, sticking closer than she normally would, because she’s Worried™️. I do not think she handles these reminders of just how very mortal Ember is well 😅

8. do they have pets?

No again, similar to the reasons above 😅

But we all know Neve and Ember can’t help but take in strays lmao so I do think they will keep an eye on and leave some food and water out for the various alley cats and stray dogs that show up in their neighborhood (and yes of course feeding them just keeps bringing them back around... and Neve and Ember just happen to have named every single one and they know them by sight 😂 never mind that!)

14. how often do they have sex?

I’d say pretty regularly?? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Honestly, it’s very dependent on their schedules and whether or not they’re working a job together or out on their own missions.

I suspect Ember, in the months following the final battle, has to travel via Crossroads quite a bit as the de-facto Leader of the Veilguard to help the various leaders of Thedas rebuild after a double blight...

25. who does the groceries?

OK, but Nevember grocery shopping together!!! 😭🥹

Because I DO think they’d often go to the market together – Ember, because she actually has a real grocery list (she did not build and maintain her physique without knowing the basics of nutrition!! 💪) and Neve because Ember is terrible at haggling and always overpays.

Of course, Neve technically overpays, too. But that’s out of her desire to local businesses – it’s not her being swindled 😤

Modern AU Nevember though? Ember, 100%. If Ember left it up to Neve, Neve would come back with, like...
