Hands up if you'd also adopt that little noodle! โ
To my polytheistic witchlings and pagans:
You do NOT have to wait for a deity to reach out to you in order to worship them.
They will never turn away someone genuinely wanting to worship them.
You do NOT have to be a certain gender to worship the gods (i.e. Artemis loves her nonbinary and male worshippers).
It is NOT dangerous to worship any gods. There are no beginner gods.
You might wanna have a relationship with a deity for a little bit though before you ask to work on a spell with them, this is not because it's dangerous but because it's polite.
You deserve to have a relationship with whoever deities that you feel called to in your path!
yeah gate keeping deities is not okay yall- letโs support each other.
I would please urge everyone who has seen this to actually do research and gather evidence for themselves on if or why a deity is part of a closed practice. I see a lot of people just labeling everything as closed practice if it isnโt well known or has a few rumors about it. Thereโs a lot of information on the internet with new information updating us constantly.
We also need to consider the opinions of those who come from closed practices. Instead of just shutting it all out, some โclosed practicesโ can actually benefit from people supporting them in a candid way(ie. buying white sage from indigenous groups to support the expansion and growth of their people. A lot of new witches completely ban white sage from their practice without truly knowing why and it mainly stems from the ritual of smudging, which is closed and can only be practiced by those whose ancestors created it. However, I have seen multiple indigenous people on etsy selling their herbs and goods to get them by and donate to their tribe or people.)
There are so many nuances, I always encourage people to come to their own conclusions while taking in the political stances as well.
Iโm trying so hard not to insult us all by doing one of those obnoxious โLISTEN UP MOTHERFUCKERSโ posts, but I am so excited about this plant. It is a mycoheterotroph, probably Monotropa uniflora (colloquially, Iโve seen it called โghost plantโ or โghost pipeโ). That means that it forgoes photosynthesis and gets its energy by parasitizing mycorrhizal mushrooms, often Russulae. Since the host fungus is in a symbiotic relationship with a photosynthetic tree, the mycoheterotroph ultimately supports itself through the tree. It doesnโt have chlorophyll, which gives it its ~ghostly~ appearance, and can grow in the dark as it doesnโt depend on photosynthesis. I love it so! It looks like the ghost of a flower
These sprung up all over my woods after a recent rain shower, as did a bunch of Russulas. I didnโt see any fruiting bodies in the same area as these plants, but theyโre probably locked into some form of mycelium under ground.
(I also included an Amanita and wolfโs milk slime mold in this set, for reasons known only to me)
A platter of Russulas. Possibly the red ones are R. emetica. The green and purple ones may or may not be R. cyanoxantha, and the yellow could be R. lutea. And I could be queen of the forest, but probably not

Wilbur uploaded a Tiktok starring Tubbo and Tommy!
[START ID] Wilbur: [Pans camera towards Tubbo, who is waving quite happily.] Whatโs up, Bee-boy?
Tubbo, smiling widely: I got shot!
[Camera turns to Tommy, who smiles and rolls his eyes, letting out a small sigh.]
Tubbo: Who am I looking for?
Ranboo: Tall...tall white guy
[Tubbo stares at Ranboo]
Ranboo: Not - not me, not me. Like, when I mean white I mean his face is like fully white
[Tubbo stares at Ranboo]
Ranboo: Still not me, no. I mean there's no features on his face
[Tubbo stares at Ranboo]
Ranboo: No, still not me! It's like he put a sock on his face or something
[Tubbo stares at Ranboo]
Ranboo: Oh come on, that's still not me!
Tubbo: You're half a sock
Ranboo, in a wavering voice: Im not half a sock, i'm a full man. [Pause] WAHHHH - !
A Reminder for Baby Witches
Hey there Witchlings, I just wanted to remind you thatย trickster spirits/harmful entities and the overall bad vibes will definitely flock around you like a moth to a flame when you do spirit work/deity work/ or any work with a mystical being at that.
Why Does It Happen?
INEXPERIENCEย
Often times, new witches never experienced Red Flags before and would trust anything willy-nilly. They will miss the ques and forgot the doโs and the donโts, I know I did when I first started.
THEย โCHOSEN ONEโ SYNDROME
As human beings, we tend to love the idea of beingย โthe oneโ and being special in our idolโs eyes, being the center of attention to put it bluntly. But remember, you are human, yes you can be a powerful witch in the future but you are still human.ย Witchlings tends to lap up and doย anythingย that validates this specific need, and that my babies are one free ticket to a harmful spirit to latch on to you.
Oh donโt be embarrassed! Weโve all been through that phase before. You will slowly and surely grow out of it.ย
How to Prevent It:
RESEARCHย
I cannot stress this enoughย how important it is to do your own research and read tons of books. Basically, learn anything you can on the entity youโre trying to work with/summon.
โBut Sally! I donโt have any money to buy books or where to get them!โ You say? Not to worry friend, the simple solution is to join Witchcraft Discord Servers that their main purpose is to archive pdf books in all things occult!ย
CROSS CHECK
If youโve notice, a lot of people has similar specific encounters with deities/spirits/demons/other mystical beings they work with.ย
For example, when I worked with Apollo, thereโs this specific melted honey and gold that is pouring constantly on my chest when Heโs around and I neverย dream of Him (I usually communicate through dreams) and thatโs a common thing witches who works under/with Apollo experience.
So be sure to cross check and double check your experiences!
WARD, CLEANSE AND CREATE A CIRCLE
Even though I rarely do this (cuz Iโm lazy pls donโt follow my example)ย but it actually made a lot of difference when you do it, youโll feel less drained, more secure, safe, and steady in performing whatever youโre trying to do.ย
YOU ARE SPECIAL BUT REMEMBERโฆ
You are also divine and you donโt need anyone or anything validate that, of course your future Patron/Matron will help you with the things you find lacking but They also want you to know you are your own powerhouse.ย
The power comes from youย and use it wisely.
I just had this discussion with my friends in a server that I own with @ladykalilaโ about it and it was a fun and informative discussion! We share and talked about our cringe Baby Witchcraft days but hey, without them we will never grow and improve.
Please add if I miss any and correct me if Iโm wrong!
๐ป Remember you wonโt improve or grow without trial and error! Stay safe my babies, have fun ๐ป

Working with Spirits
In my last post, I talked about different types of spirits that witches may work with. Today, weโre going to discuss how to approach spirits and establish a working relationship.
Keep in mind that these are general guidelines, and every spirit is different. I encourage you to do your own research beyond this post, especially if you plan to work with powerful entities like deities, angels, or fairies.
Remember the Four Rโs
Itโs important to keep these things in mind when working with spirits:
Respect. The spirits are powerful, and you need to have a healthy respect for that power when working with them. Itโs also important to respect them as individual, autonomous beings.
Iโm not saying that every interaction you have with the spirits needs to be a full blown ritual with incense and chanting. (In fact, some spirits donโt care for those types of rituals.) But every interaction you have with them should be conducted with an air of respect and reverence.
What this mostly boils down to is good manners. Being polite will get you better results โ and it will also keep you from being on the receiving end of spirit mischief. Proper etiquette depends on the type of spirit youโre working with, which is one reason itโs important to do your research. In general, itโs polite to make an offering, use respectful language, and thank the spirits before you leave (unless youโre dealing with fairies โ some traditions say you should never thank the fae).
Respecting spirits also means respecting their desires โ even if that means respecting their wish not to work with you. Not every spirit you reach out to will want to form a relationship with you, just like not every person you meet in your life will want to be your friend. When a spirit turns you down, respect their decision, politely bid them farewell, and move on.
Reciprocity. The goal of spirit work is to establish a mutually-beneficial partnership โ not for one partner to serve the other. On one hand, this means that you canโt just command spirits to do your bidding without giving anything in return. On the other hand, it also means that you wonโt be worshiping/honoring them without receiving some kind of boon.
This is why itโs important to make offerings to the spirits you work with. These offerings โfeedโ the spirits by giving them power, and a good offering will likely make a spirit more willing to work with you. Offerings are not payment for favors from spirits (itโs not quite that simple), but they are a sign that you intent to practice reciprocity in your relationship.
In general, itโs important to make an offering when you first introduce yourself to a spirit and again before you ask them for anything. But you shouldnโt only make offerings when youโre about to ask for something! How would you feel if you had a friend who only did nice things for you when they were about to ask for a favor? Youโd probably start avoiding them, right? You might even get angry. To avoid this kind of dynamic in your spirit work, make regular offerings to the spirits you work with. If youโre especially close with a spirit, you may want to offer to them every day.
Relationship. The spirits are not vending machines where you put offerings in and blessings fall out. They are living, sentient beings with feelings, and deserve to be treated as such. Your relationship with the spirits you choose to work with is just that: a relationship. And like any relationship, it requires time, energy, and emotional labor.
If that sounds like more effort than you want to make, there are plenty of ways to do magic without ever working with spirits. You donโt need to do spirit work to be a witch. It may not be your thing, and thatโs okay!
But if you choose to work with spirits, itโs important to remember that you are working with them as an equal partner โ youโre not their boss, and they are not obligated to like you, help you, or even tolerate you. Relationships with spirits are built over time, through mutual respect and trust.
You wouldnโt drive up to your friendโs house, throw a fast-food burger at them, and then demand a special favor. Likewise, you shouldnโt just dump an offering on your altar and demand something of the spirits. Take the time to sit down with them. Talk to them. Get to know them. Put some thought into your offerings, instead of just offering the same thing every time. Spirit work is, at its core, about building an authentic relationship with the spirits we choose to include in our practice. Enjoy it.
Research. When it comes to spirits, itโs important to know exactly who (and what) youโre dealing with. As previously mentioned, the etiquette for dealing with fairies is very different from other land spirits. Different deities have different standards for their worshipers, which vary from one pantheon to the next. The way you interact with your ancestors will probably be shaped by their personalities, cultures, and values. All this is to say itโs important to know who youโre reaching out to, preferably before you reach out to them.
With deities, this is easy. Most witches who choose to work with deities will feel drawn to a certain pantheon, or even a specific god or goddess. Thereโs a lot of information out there about most historical pantheons, so researching them is easy. The same goes for angels, saints, demons, and even fairies.
It can be a little more difficult to do your research when youโre dealing with land spirits, spirits of place, or other less well-known figures. In these cases, itโs best to take three steps: 1.) figure out what type of spirit youโre dealing with (land spirit, animal spirit, ancestor, etc.), 2.) find out what this type of spirit is like generally, and 3.) find out how that applies to your specific spirit.
For example: you want to connect with your local land spirits. You do some research to find out how land spirits have been treated in various cultures โ you find out that theyโre typically benevolent, are closely tied to the natural landscape, and were often given food offerings. Then, you do some research into your local plants and animals โ what form might a nature spirit take in your local environment? Would it be a huge moose with snow-covered antlers, or a magnolia tree in full bloom? Is there any local folklore in your area that could be describing a land spirit? Once you have answers to these questions, youโll have a much better idea of how to approach the spirits and start up a relationship.
Initiating a Relationship with a Spirit
Begin by identifying who this spirit is. For example, letโs say you choose to reach out to a specific ancestor spirit โ maybe a deceased grandparent. Make sure youโre familiar with the etiquette for interacting with this type of spirit so you donโt accidentally do something disrespectful. (If your Grandma hated cussing, try not to drop any f-bombs while communing with her.)
Create a special space to communicate with the spirit. This can be as simple as lighting a candle or as elaborate as setting up a special altar. If youโre reaching out to a grandparent, you might set up a small ritual space with a photo of them, any of their belongings that you have access to, and some things that they enjoyed while they were alive. These items may make the connection easier, but you donโt need them to communicate. What matters is that youโve taken the time to create a special space for this moment. (Like all ritual spaces, it should be clean and tidy, and itโs a good idea to do an energetic cleanse beforehand.)
Make an offering. Make sure your offering is appropriate for the spirit youโre connecting to. Offerings should be made with an air of reverence โ donโt just toss a bag of Doritos on your altar and expect it to be well-received.
Introduce yourself. Speak out loud. State your intention and who you are hoping to connect with.
Wait and listen. You may feel a presence or receive some kind of sign โ or you may not. Just because you didnโt get a sign doesnโt mean that your offering wasnโt noticed or that youโre being ignored. You may also receive a sign several hours, days, or weeks after you first reach out. Be patient.
Say your farewells. Express your gratitude for the spiritโs presence, and let them know that you are ending your little ritual. Itโs up to you whether to invite them to stick around or politely tell them to leave, but if youโre going to give a spirit permission to linger in your home you better be 1000% sure you know who they are and what their intentions with you are.
Moving Forward
As you work with this spirit, it is important to establish clear boundaries for the relationship. Be clear about what you want to accomplish by working with them, and make sure you understand what they expect from you in return.
You might want to establish a time limit: for example, maybe youโre choosing to work closely with the goddess Brigid from Imbolc to Samhain, at which point you can choose to continue the relationship or to take a step back. Or, you may choose to work with a spirit on a specific task โ for example, working with the goddess Aphrodite to get back on your feet and rebuild your self esteem after a breakup. Once this task is accomplished, you may choose to form a more long-term relationship or to take a step back.
Forming a permanent or long-term working relationship with a spirit is a very big, very serious commitment, and should not be taken lightly. This goes double for anything involving a ritual commitment, such as dedication to a deity. When you make these commitments, you are choosing to make a spirit and their energy a permanent part of your life. This decision requires some very serious introspection and consideration, and should not be made impulsively.

easy witchy tips i have learnt through my craft
writing a protective sigil inside your door to avoid bad energies to enter your room
making sigils by yourself works better because you pour your intention into it and can be a great way to manifest
white candles can replace any candle when doing candle magick
clear quartz can replace any crystal
when drinking your daily coffee/tea, stir clockwise to manifest something and anti-clockwise to let go of something. repeat your affirmations as you stir
salt baths absorb bad energies so having a salt bath once in a while helps with having your energies balanced
write an affirmation in a bay leaf and burn it to manifest it
always keep iron on you for protection
work with the moon phases and transits to make your spells more powerful
keep a sigil in your phone case for protection/manifestation
after giving an offering to a deity, return it to the earth
drink mugwort tea for lucid dreaming/astral projection (donโt drink it if you are pregnant!!)
before you put a crystal under water or in the sun, research about it
keep a dream journal. it helps for lucid dreaming.
put an amethyst under your pillow to sleep better and to recall your dreams
charge your tarot/oracle cards by putting a crystal on top of them while you are not usinf them
mix moon or sun water with your cosmetics for a quick beauty spell
try to do an activity to connect yourself with each element everyday. (ex: a bath for water, walking barefoot for earth, lighting a candle for fire, singing for air)
make an habit of meditating everyday

Reblog this if you are not homophobic
Iโm going to make a list and show it to my homophobic parents who just kicked me out of their house not long ago.
I'm curious, reblog if your OTP is gay.
