people have been developing ways of talking around sex and violence in “polite” and “acceptable” ways for forever; there is a near endless well of euphemisms you could use that don’t treat your audience like kindergartners. respect them enough to use them.

When people use algospeak, I always think it sounds like preschool kids using "replacement words" to avoid getting in trouble with the grownups around them.

I'd rather hear the real words than the algospeak nonsense.

Anyone else notice that users on these apps also censor guns and knives out of videos? They blur them. It's friggin' dystopian.
