While watching the 90's "Biker Mice from Mars" there were things that made me take notice. Why is Throttle the only one with telepathic abilities? Why do the mice look so much like earth mice? Why is their culture so much like America earth? How did Vinnie get an earth radio? How come they speak english?
With all these questions my overactive imagination started rubbing it's lil hands together and made a lore fanfiction.
Too long don't wanna read: It's basically Dune and The Secret of Nym got mixed together with prehistoric Cinderella sprinkled in.
End of Ice Age, right before the Floods, Earth Sootgirl (prehistoric Cinderella) and her mouse friend. Abaros aka the remaker aka fairy godmother, is an alien that looks to reconstruct earth animals to make colonies on the solar system's planets.
Sootgirl and her mouse friend befriend Abaros, and in return he helps her fix her outfit one night to attend a village dance. Once she finds her happy ending and escapes her abusive step-family, the floods start to creep onto her land and sink her land. Her mouse friend tries to help her and in doing so, nearly dies. She begs Abaros for his help, and he does, in exchange for taking him, altering the mouse's DNA and placing them on Mars. She accepts, wishing her friend only a long life and happiness. "Ride the wind free, little one"
Abaros mixes in human DNA and the molecular structure of the left over bacteria from Mars into the mouse. He does this with more mouse DNA, creating their species, amoungst others to populate the solar system. This first mouse in particular is unique, for they have telepathic powers, which is helpful in passing on information, bonding with other mice to create communities, and keeping their history in memory for each new generation.
Once the solar system is populated by Abaros's creations, he is summoned by the intergalatic council for his unethical and unauthorized expirements. He is forced to leave his creations be and the discarded technology scattered across the planets, remnants of his research labs.
As time passes, the mice become more bipedal and even tame the fast flightless birds that roam the planet. Culture surrounding fireplaces and nomadic life, the mice take pleasure in races and looking at the stars.
More time passes. Now full bipedal and more humanoid, the martians recover parts of the ship remains from the abandoned research lab. They recycle this technology into their society. Buildings, motorcycles, and even radio and television. From the signals from earth they start to incorporate earth music, clothing style, and even language. (we can assume they start to do this in the 1950's)
While a good way into their now hybrid culture, other beings from the solar system have repaired their stargates, making contact with the martians. At first it started peacefully, getting aquianted with different alien cultures. But soon the plutarkians decided to use their technology to colonize the solar system and take over. Planet by planet. A few went easily, the rest fought. While some were completely wiped out. Others were forcefully joined into the empire. While even fewer remained free but still fighting to keep it that way.
Throttle, being one of the few telepathic mice, comes across the only elder to pass on their history to him, Tire Burn. Though a wierd old coot, Tire Burn and Throttle begin an unlikely friendship. Teacher and student to grandma and adopted grandson. From a young age the young tan mouse was always curious about earth. But with his people's history in his head, the many lives of fellow telepathic mice, and the little mouse who loved his Sootgirl. His drive to explore Earth became a goal.
The resistance may have fought off the plutarkians, but one flew to earth to evade justice. Now, the three mice look to the blue planet to enact their justice, and perhaps, make a pilgrimage to their ancient past...
