New Scam Drop Got this from TWO different accounts. Don't fall for this. They'll say they are blocking access to your account (which they are not) and the link they send you wants you to enter in your credit/debit card information. The fact someone is saying to give them money for a FREE account is a big ass red flag. Here's what they look like.

Thanks for the heads up! Be safe everyone! Red flags to look out for: -they want to lead you to a site outside the one they contact you in. -they are vague about information. -not pertaining to this particular scam, but for some reason they always want you to direct message them and not the other way around. A big common red flag for me is when a scammer doesn't message me but instead puts down a comment saying "direct message me, OWO" Seriously, scams are annoying and no joke. Let's keep each other in the loop.
SCAM ALERT
I just received a DM from a user claiming to have "Falsely reported" my blog because they were "scammed" by a different user they thought was me. They asked for help in resolving the issue, and they were very apologetic in their tone. This disarmed me at first, but I'm not the type to immediately trust unsolicited inquiries like this, so I asked if the profile that "tricked" them was still up. They said no (red flag number one).
This user then provided (fake) screenshots of an email they supposedly received from Tumblr support after they "realized" the reporting of my blog was fraudulent, detailing how my blog was supposedly going to be deactivated unless the issue was resolved. The user then went on to try to get me to contact Tumblr support on Discord (red flag #2), to resolve the false report issue, trying to scare me into clicking the link by saying they don't want my blog to be deactivated over a mistaken report.
I then promptly went to Reddit and sure enough, this is a known scam that has been going around Tumblr recently. Users will fall for this scam by clicking the link and contacting some random person on Discord claiming to be Tumblr support, who will have the victim change their emails and passwords and then they will promptly be locked out of their account by the scammer.
Tumblr Support does not have a Discord. You will only ever contact them through Tumblr itself. If a random blog DMs you with a story following this general script, block and report them. The blog that contacted me didn't appear at first glance to be a bot. It had posts, a real profile picture and description, and had been following me for a year. I think it was probably a real blog that had been hacked via the same scam. Do not fall for this and stay safe out there, everyone!
Just sharing this to continue to spread awareness. Scams are NO JOKE guys. Be safe out there!! And thank you, @lilianade-comics for making this post so that we COULD be aware of such a trick!

It’s Pride month!!! Release the dragon!!
This dragon? Thought I'd combine Pride Parade with a Chinese Dragon parade float. There's alot more, but I wanted to highlight some LGBTQIA+ cartoon icons from cartoons I really like. So happy after 30+ years Lex and Staghart finally get to be courting and together in the Gargoyles canon. Even in the animation world, the creator and voice actor knew, KNEW, Lex was gay but had to hide it for fear the disney company would boot the creator off the project and rewrite Lex to be straight and give him a girlfriend. Gross corporate stuff that still happens today. Showing even in animation sometimes it takes time for someone to feel safe to come out. But the world is so much better when they do. And thank goodness for the tail end of Legend of Korra to have Korra and Asami get together in the last episode and have post story art of them together that the company could not do anything to stop it. Thank goodness for Rebecca Sugar for Steven Universe having the queer story and a gay wedding, even when the company told them they'd end the series early, the creator stuck to her guns. Thank goodness for N.D. Stevenson who not only creates amazing queer comics, but also getting the chance to tell the amazing retelling of She Ra and the Princesses of Power, rainbow all around. Not to mention the tear jerking, heartwarming, incredible comic made movie Nimona! Korra, Garnet, Adora, Princess Bubblegum and Marceline, and Owl House showed the world we WANT and NEED queer representation and made it safer for Lex and Amp to come out. Let's keep going!

Thank you! Yeah, pretty much. Mei has to take care of the lighthouse, so she's got some mechanics skill. Would not be surprised if she grabbed some videos and books on dental care. I also see her using fishing gear to jerry rig some braces for her daughter at some point, Haha!

as someone on the autism spectrum i was drawn to gargoyles and tmnt because i loved the idea of a hero with bad publicity. like superman or spider man or batman are celebrated by people, but the gargoyles and turtles have to hide themselves from the very people they're fighting to protect since they would be feared for being different. Something I guess I found relatable even as a kid.
Agreed. Superman, Batman, and Spiderman are more like role models for people with power (mostly white guys). Superman was born with greatness, Batman strove for greatness (with money) and Spiderman had greatness thrust upon him. It was what they did with their gifts and privilege that's the real story for them. While heros like the Gargoyles, TMNT, Hellboy, Biker Mice from Mars, hell even Inuyasha, are creatures that are shunned from society and just want to exist. They also share autistic traits such as:
-sensory issues
-echolalia

-Halloween and conventions being safe spaces because it's normalized to be "weird"
And so many many more (believe me, I have a long list, LOL). In short, I also relate to these guys way more than Superman, Batman, and Spiderman. These are heroes that are different but do good despite society rejecting them. And the world is better because they, and we, exist ❤️
