fuck, juno steel makes me so ill. the constant exhaustion. the way you feel randomly really sad after something goes well or you have a big win. the way his self-sacrificial nature is not treated like a heroic act but instead an inadvertent attempt to kill himself. “dying is easy” juno steel. the way he is passively suicidal. i don’t want to kill myself but maybe if i take this super dangerous case, at least i’ll go out doing some good. his obsession with “doing good” because he feels responsible, because he hates the person he is and thinks that dying for a cause will make up for it. god. the moment he realizes he wants to live, but he still has to go through Everything to get there. and the way he doesn’t get “better,” because with depression it never really goes away. but he learns to surround himself with people he loves, and he finally starts to manage in healthy ways. at first i hated how familiar he felt, how uncanny listening to him go through what i do felt. but it’s such good representation. i love him so much, he’s so dear to me.
